"and that's how the old man died!........"
That was the end of the "Ghost story" told by Cody on that horrific night.
On this night, 5 friends decided they would go camping in the Old Mansion Grounds because theres nothing scary about this right?
We'll see...

Story!

One Night 5 friends decided to go camping in a dark wood, each taking it in turns to tell ghost stories and scare the rest of the group.
Time ticks on and on eventually they decide to call it a night and head for their tents.
Eve is paired with her twin sister Ada, Sally with her boyfriend Samuel and Cody who always like to fly solo in these situations.
*SNAP*
This was the first thing Eve heard, making her wake up immediately!
"Ada, did you hear that!?....Ada?..... ADA!!!?"
She opens the zip of her tent to find Ada's torch lying on the ground near the campfire...
"Where is she!?"...
Eve wakes the rest of the gang, who then decide they have to find her, she wouldn't have just left without a word, and she was scared of the dark!
They Venture deeper and deeper into the woods, only to discover an Old Manor House in the distance........

Characters:


Eve: A Young woman, the main role in the story. Twin sister of Ada.


Ada: Twin sister of Eve, She is weak minded and easily influenced.


Sally: A good friend to the others, but she has to be centre of attention, always!


Samuel: Sally's Boyfriend, Rich Boy who likes to play practical jokes.


Cody: The quiet member of the group, he has a crush on Ada and always keeps an eye on her.

Features:

- 5 different enemies all with their own story and interactions.
- 3 different endings
- Hide spots are known as "HOT SPOTS" that are indicated by a story marker.
- Dark shadows and Dim Lights haunt the corridors and creepy sounds make the atmosphere intense.
- 1HIT Gameover, outsmart your pursuer or its time up for you.
- Pursuers: The Butler, The Maid, The Caretaker, The Cook, .The Lord.
- Custom Menu and Cursor sounds.

The first words in your story say "One Night 5..." The capitalization of "One Night" made me think you were taking the franchise over from Dark Gaia, and were creating a new One Night game.

In any case, this looks pretty decent, and VX / Ace is a great platform of these types of games. I really like the mapping, although the effects look a bit too dark. Maybe in game they will be easier on the eyes.

i wanted to respond and give critism, but i cant see very well in that dark screenshot

Looks good so far. Reminds me a lot of the Clock Tower series and Haunting Ground. The mapping looks really good too.

There's one thing I need to ask. Will the pursuers/stalkers not see you in the dark? I notice that some of the maps are a bit too dark (especially the last screenshot) and it might be too hard for players to see even with the use of the flashlight.

That's all I can say about it for now. Hope to see more about this game

Hey guys thanks for your feedback, i changed the screenshot and in the game i have added light to that area, just so u can actually see, thanks alot .
And yeah dark will sometimes hide you as a "HOTSPOT" but other things like cupboard, or under tables etc. I did have Haunting Ground in mind with the initial idea .

Update!

- The game now features Instant death puzzles aswell as trying to outrun your pursuers... These can be finding a simple key and putting it in the wrong lock, or turning the clock face to the wrong time.

- Completed 3 so far, The Book Puzzle, The right passage? and The Recipe?

- They will be hard to some and some will be timed, if the time runs out, or (like the flower puzzle) you sneeze... You may be chased again.

- Lastly a few new screenies for you

Anyway, the update looks good so far, both the ideas and the screenies. Though I think you should fix that last screenie's sentence. It should be this:
"This book looks different. Take a closer look?"
