QUOTE (Fleta @ Apr 8 2013, 03:38 PM) *
I started out again with the Final Final. Once I got to the first shrine area, I met up with Foo the Fighter(?) (Foo the something)... Man oh MAN! Is there a way to get him? I tried getting rid of his MP's... That didn't faze him. I tried fighting and Fizzing him... That didn't work, he healed 79 points at a time AND still was able to hit me. I barely escaped with my head on (4 points out of 60 after 3 herbs and 5 Heal spells). My second level Azuli wasn't so lucky... Any clues? I never met him before. And he was the first monster I met.

That is a hard first encounter for stepping into Rhemhage for the first time! Foo the Hero can be pretty easy, but you pretty much need to have the whole party at level 4 (either Aldain and Oruba, or Aldain/Oruba/Azuli) to beat him easily. You'll also need upgraded gear from what you can buy in Erdrich.

Try him again when you beat the region or almost beat it. The encounter isn't super common, but it is by far from "rare" too. His drop (Foo Foil) is definitely worth it - so much so that you probably won't stop using it until Bariden.

Something to note is that all notorious monsters (even ones that you think would be fast) have really low agility. So you can always escape from them easily. Foo the Hero is among the few that is hard to beat once to start a region - most of them *can* be beaten as soon as you see them as long as you've been keeping your level pretty decent (Ice Giant and Startled Shelly may be another exception). smile.gif

9. A npc has been added that mentions what you should do in Yardrick.

I have looked all over for him. Where do you find him? I've already done the helping up north and now have nothing to do but wait to get strong enough for the arena. Speaking of which, would you consider allowing time in between matches to heal and equip?

The npc that mentions what to do is in the arena (close to the token lady). Have you cleared the first match of the arena? If you haven't, you'll need to do that to continue on. If you have, you need to talk to that npc. smile.gif

I don't really plan on making a new version of the game at this time, but I certainly could consider this option if I do decide to make an update at some point.

I thought that might be the case. I had talked to him before I went to the king (I wanted that tinymedal smile.gif ). I just beat Leslie, so I'll talk to him again.

Thanks!! I was really excited when I noticed it this morning. I'm not quite sure of how a game gets featured, but it was really cool to have my game be featured. smile.gif

I beat the mountain and saved Yardrick, But I can't find another shard (presumably fire). What am I doing wrong?

Next shard is actually earth. smile.gif

That is probably the hardest shard in the game to find. Requires a bit of backtracking and thinking about things you've seen before. I happen to have my FAQ up to this point, so linking you to it.

I'm wondering if this is a remaining bug. In Bariden (I think, the hot desert) somebody says there's a fake wall. I've been over every inch of the shrine and can't find it. Did I have to say something different to the high priest? He left for his study after I talked to him the first time. And yes, I checked the basement too.

It's not. smile.gif

After the cutscene with Olian, Melody and Oruba talked with you along the lines of "Well, everything seems fine so what can we do? Why not go back and look for more islands?"

Return back to Erdrich Castle and you'll be able to proceed.
