I just started playing your game a couple of days ago and so far I'm loving it but when I try to read the torn parchment I get from the boss in the Zarobia woods the game crashes. Any idea why?
If there's no solution could you tell me what it says if it's important?
~Thanks

Thanks for trying out Manifest...I'm thrilled to hear you're enjoying it! There's no reason why reading the torn parchment should crash your game, this is the first time I've heard of it happening. I would first try booting up the game fresh (don't use the f12 reset key), try reading it in a few different locations (this shouldn't make a difference, but who knows), and as a last resort I would redownload the game and copy your save files over. I'm almost positive that would take care of it, unless it has something to do with your computer. Good luck, and please let me know if it gets resolved. Thanks!

I'm having a spot of bother in the Onyx Mountains. I think it's more my slow reflexes than your puzzle, though. The second room with the switches and torches -- I can't seem to get them all at the same time. Any hints?

Start at the top right switch, then to the middle left switch, and hit the bottom right switch last. Make sure you minimize your number of steps (hit the 2nd switch from its right side, not from above or below).

Also, the most current version of the game has a little added time for that puzzle and changes the colored orb puzzles to lessen frustration. If you haven't already, you can download that and carry your save files over. Best of luck.

Wow, this Ephembra thing. Tough fight. Any hints? Or do I need to be at Level 99 or something to beat it? :-)

The level you're at should be fine, but I'll put a few hints in a spoiler...

spoiler
First, I would wait until after visiting Ordune.

Second, pay attention to the elemental animation that plays when the battle starts and whenever Ephembra shifts. This
will clue you in on what element it is going to attack you with, and what element it will be weak to. Then use defensive and offensive abilities accordingly.

If you need specifics, let me know.

Good luck.

That should help. I was trying that method but kept getting killed. Bypassed that and am on my way through Ordune now. Thanks.

Tell me, Steve, do you lie awake nights, twirling your evil looking mustache and think up these HELLISH puzzles? The scary part is that I must be starting to think like you because I can actually solve quite a few of them ...I am currently in the Sealed Caverns and just having a rollicking good time with all the puzzles ...

This is the greatest post I've ever read.

And yes, yes I do.

LOL. What I want to know is this. Are you going to try to sell this game? I would have paid for it.

Of course, as soon as I met the Napalm rats I would be asking for my money back.

Did you figure out how to deal with them? =)

Not exactly. I got past them once with two survivors but the next guys killed me. I'm still cogitating about it.

I'll put a strategy in a spoiler box

spoiler

Each rat only acts after it takes damage, but its only action is to explode. Avoid group damage spells at all costs. Only kill
a few each round, and heal up after. I'd wait to move on until you're fully healed and there's only one rat left, that way you go into
the next battle with minimal damage.

Good luck!

Heh, Never thought of that. I will go back there in a bit. In the meantime, I am in the Forgotten Crypt with the switch puzzle. You're good! I'll be back if I don't crack this one.

I just got through the Forgotten Crypt and, again, I am in awe of your ingenuity with buttons and switches. However, I have a question about the flow of the game. I went through the Azriad Sewers before I went through the Grotto and some other places. Now I am on the Exodus and wonder if I can go back after that and finish some other things or if I should go to an earlier save. How about it?

Congratulations on making it so far. Take care of anything you wanted to take care of before moving on from the sewers, so if you have one you can reload an earlier save. Have fun.

Thanks and thanks. I kind of suspected that was the case so I will see if one of my saves takes me out of the sewers.

Did you really have to put a timer in the Grotto? I got through a lot of rooms but am in the one with the switches behind the bushes. How exactly am I supposed to deal with that? I ran out of time before I could even think about it too much. Of course, I am better at all the preceding puzzles now. LOL
