Well I've been playing the musical keyboard for years, but since I'm waiting for it to come from Fed EX I've been using a little nifty program with a virtual keyboard called Mixcraft, the drums, were created using an 808 kit, I'm trying to sort of go for a spin on tradtional rpg music by using fast drums and looping melodies so here's a link to my Soundclick page, give them a listen and tell me how you feel...Also any advice on how to edit the instruments and how to finalize the compositions would be much appreciated since this is the first time I've ever had anything I've played on a computer.

These are songs I plan to implement into my game for rmvx

*The three I have up right now are still uncomplete*

Sounds good, but you gotta equalize and master the sound because the bass drowns out your claps and hi-hats. Little your synths too. Still sounds like you're experimenting on some. But overall not bad. It'd be a really good fit for a hip hop atmosphere, even though that's what you were going for haha. Good job!

This is exactly what I need to learn how to do, I plan on going to an art institute, but as far as the equalizing goes, how do you go about doing that for your final production of your piece?

You can use Goldwave, Sonar for things like that. or even on the program you're making your music on. Adjust a couple sounds here and there and balance them well. Make sure you know how much Hz you'll be putting in or down. You don't necessarily need the Parametric EQ and blablablabla. The only important thing about mastering is your music being able to play through small speakers to large speakers and sounding nice and crisp. So as long as it sounds good to you, it's music to your ears heh.
