These are really good! But I decided I'm not going to work on the transient because your version is completely awesome! I probably wouldve chosen a bad set of colors, and the colors here really fits him. good job!

Oh, that's fine~ I've been busy myself so haven't had a lot of time to thoroughly look around. That art-style on SAI is neat that I'm doing because of the tools being different from PhotoShop. A string of digital work until I pick up a mechanical pencil again! It's really helping with not trying to erase.

Yeah, digital artwork is a lot easier because the clean-up is easier (and materials cost money). XD

SAI versus Photoshop... One is for digital image editing, the other is for digital art. =D

They most certainly can - and should in many cases. ^^
There are a lot of programs that are that way though, where Program A does Function A very well, but doesn't do Function B well at all, whilst Program B doesn't do Function A well at all, rather it does Function B very well.
SAI and Photoshop are like that.

Rema Merloci II


Most likely due to the B12 vitamins I took, I had insomnia till six o' clock in the morning. This came about near randomly with also wanting to make up for the Rema bust I did some time ago. Came together easier than most times and had a good idea where it was going for a change~ Strange, for being pepped and tired at the same time...I could have sworn the brain was supposed to work better in partial starvation mode?

I love that it is black and white. Her eyes and face are very focussed and seem tense, despite the rest of her appearance as being somewhat relaxed. I wonder if that was done on purpose, but that's what I get from it. ^^

She had more of a smile when I started, lol! Then I thought it would make her look like she was saying "Like what you see?" XD
The more pensive look gives her the more in control, dangerous air. More suited to her~ I wanted detail with the collar bone, but the simple softness of her skin was too nice. Really wanted her eyes to have life to them!

Thank you, by the way! I'll probably do similar with the rest of the female cast (especially a redo of Viktoria bust) haha!

Ah, well if you're going for the more suggestive look, then you have the eyes almost right.
I think they need to smile a bit more than they do though, if that's the look you're going for. (Her eyes need to smile more, not her mouth - her mouth could have more of a smirk-look though if you want to give off that expression better.) =]
If you don't go too far with it, you can still maintain the "pensive" look but make her appear more inviting whilst showing that she has control. (Another trick would be to have her jaw bone slightly moved to one side, as if she's thinking "I know exactly what I'll be doing to you".)
Girls have a lot more facial expression in their face when they really want something; guys tend to have similar expressions, but they don't show them as well (which might be the difficulty here). =]

Some helpful critique there, XMO! Didn't think about most of that, so I'm thinking it might really give it what I'm looking for~ Thank you!

I do have a question though: Remembering one fellow posted with partial nudity before, I have somewhat near case as well >_> I don't believe such can be posted here, so is it okay to post a link in the artworks stead? Nothing XX, by the way!

Another WIP~

Working with the watercolors and little of ink in SAI, I had the idea of "Hey! make his wings stand out from him" yet I don't know what would be the best way to do that. Contrasting colors? Different media tool? We'll see what I come up with, and suggestions, help always welcome~

Thank you! I always thought about doing something with that kind of look, but had no idea how to do it. Well, until I figured out that watercolors were necessary...Slow at times~ Worried about detailing the wings mostly since I'm comfortable with the rest.

As for the next one, avert thine eyes if you are under 18 because their is no viewer discretion warning...accept for this,

Yes, the only thing I find a little strange with "Blood Companion" is that Rema's eyes (whilst detailed) are too far back on her face (at least on the side that is facing the viewer).
Basically, if I were to look at someone from the angle her head is, and from the viewer's perspective, her left eye wouldn't be visible (or just her lashes would be visible, barely), and her right eye would be closer to the bridge of her nose (it's sunk-in, if that makes any sense). =]

Yup, I definitely agree. I have difficulty with the perspective an had an issue mainly with the nose and how/where to position it. How you described how the eyes should be makes perfect sense, so...I'll probably be going to fix that right now, lol! Thanks so much!

Oh, and one thing I'd recommend for getting the perspective right on faces/profiles/etc. is to search for a model/mannequin/etc. on the internet that has the same/similar head and neck position as what you want to draw, and use that as an example/guide for drawing. (Just a tip that might help.) ^^
