((For those who enjoyed the last story.))

Cross sat there alone. In a cold dark chamber which his enemies dominated.
He had been beaten to a pulp. Scars and bruises plagued his entire body. His face covered in blood and one black eye.
His hands was cuffed behind his back.
As his eyes were closed and his head arched downward, he was fully aware of Soul's presence.
She leaned against the wall infront of him with her arms crossed. Her eyes never looking away from him. The silence grew.
The tension was calm and subtle.
Soul decided to break the silence. Her voice was a bit cracked, as if she didn't know what to say.
"So...now do you believe?" she asked Cross.
Cross was silent and didn't reply. After what Soul's affiliation did to him...he couldn't speak or even look at her.
Soul was part of his revolution. Instead, she decided to switch sides. This very fact, angered him so.

"Everything in this world is permitted. We thought we were perfect...We thought we had everything planned out completely...
Until they opened my eyes to the truth. There is nothing that can be done to stop them...The future must unfold the way
it has been dealt! You! and no one else can defeat what is to come! Why are you so fucking stubborn?!" she hollered.

Cross sat there silent once again. Soul leaned up off the wall and approached Cross as she started walking circles
around him. "But...you refuse to give up don't you? You don't care if you leave here or not. You're hellbent on creating a future
that lie infront of the faces you wish to tell the truth to."
Suddenly, she placed a hand on Cross's head and yanked his head backward. Cross gasped as she did so.
"So...I'am right?" she asked. Cross groaned and shook his head, attempting to release her grasp. His bangs flung infront of his blood-stained eyes.
Cross could barely make out his words as he said..."I...will...kill you!" his voice, angry and deep. Soul smiled, clearly amused.

She backed away from him and made way toward the camera that was hidden in the top-left corner of the small interrogation room.
After unplugging a few cords, the camera went dead. Others who were watching, was denied visual images.
A couple tears ran down her eyes, turned and walked toward him. With a bald fist, she punched Cross directly in his jaw.
A small blood stream went flying to the side and on the floor. She came with another...and another...until Cross damn near sounded lifeless as he gasped after every hit. By the end, her face was drenched with tears.

"I HATE YOU! You...stupid..." she hollered.

Oh, the drama, X! The drama! I think she likes him but he's going to "off with her head!" when he gets free! I would too...but, the drama!! Where's the next one!?

(Oh...sorry. I was without internet for a week lol.)

Soul began trembling as she made her way to her superior's chamber.
The previous event with Cross stuck with her like a leech.
She still couldn't believe how stubborn Cross had been.
She wanted so badly for Cross to come to reason with her,
but his loyalty forbidden him to do so.
She thought about the companions she once traveled with.
All of them were on a journey to their deaths.
She then thought about her sister, Spirit, who had been captured by
her superiors. In order to save her sister, she was
forced to go against her former allies. Tears leaked down her cheeks.
Mascara stained her eyes. Her fists were tight as she entered the
chamber's door.
Three huge men stood at the far end. They all wore masks.
The man sitting in the chair made no movement. You couldn't even hear
the men breathe.
She hesitantly moved toward them, got down on both knees, and arched
her head downward. She unfolded her hands and placed them in her lap.
She spoke nervously.

"I have failed you, sir..." she said. "I couldn't get anything out of him..."

The man in the chair rose to his feet and slowly stepped down from his throne.
Each step that he made, caused Soul to tremble in fear. Her body was
literally shaking from the tension. She fought back the tears, but failed.
The man stood over her, his waistline stood just above Soul's forehead.
Suddenly, his right hand reached down and grabbed a handful of Soul's
long dark, silky hair. After forcefully grabbing her, he buried her face
in his crotch and laughed menacingly.

"Do it!" he yelled at her. Soul's entire body shook with fear.
She spoke no words as she ran her hands up her superior's legs. The man
grinned as she done so.

High above the rafters of the chamber, stood a dark figure watching
the scene below. It was Daemon. Cross's faithful companion, and former
partner of Soul. Daemon was the main one angry at Soul's change of allegiance.
However, he made a sudden move that exposed his position.
One small noise cause the entire chamber to fall silent. All three men
looked toward the noise.
Acting almost instantly, the guardsmen aimed their rifles at the rafters and
fired immediately.
On instinct, Daemon manuevered graciously...until he slipped on a beam.
He attempted to catch the beam with his hand, but was unable to do so.
He tumbled to the floor rapidly. Soul, who was covering her eyes and ears
at the time, then looked up and saw Daemon falling.

Daemon...? What are you doing...? she thought.

One of the guardsmen quickly dashed forward and launched himself in the air
off of his left foot. His right arm literally rotated around his body,
as if he could disfigure his own bones like an undead.
Sudden particles began forming in the wind around him. He brought his left
hand around infront of his chest, forming two fingers underneath his chin.
A small aura was created in his left palm as a nicely formed spear formed
around him and appeared in his right hand.
As he brought both feet together, he pointed the spear vertically, the
sharp end aiming directly at Daemon's back.
As Daemon came tumbling down, the guardsmen's spear pierced clearly through
Daemon's torso.
A loud cry of pain and anguish erupted from Daemon and it would appear
that he died instantly. Soul looked up terrified. She trembled throughout the
entire event.
Her superior smiled underneath that mask of his, then started laughing.
Soul whimpered and felt a bit of anger...she wanted so badly to kill her
superior...but she remembered whos side she was on now.
The guardsmen floated down to the floor gently like an angel, with Daemon
hanging from his spear.
Soul's superior walked toward Daemon, while still watching Soul over his shoulder.
He smiled at the death of Soul's former friend.
He waved the guardsmen off, walked back to Soul, and once again...she carried out
the duty that had been rudely interrupted.

[2 years earlier...]
[Operation 4.2]
[ASsigned to: Cross & Soul]
[Destination...unknown]

As the sun began fading in the sky, Cross and Soul
covertly snuck inside a O.M.Ni weapons facility. Anjel
gave them the intel on the secret activities that takes
place inside of its walls. High ranking members of O.M.Ni
comes and collect a variety of powerful weapons and
takes them elsewhere. Their mission...was to find out where.
Cross and Soul knelt behind a large piece of debris, that
looks as if it came from an old airplane. On the other sides,
patrolled two O.M.Ni agents guarding the entrance to the facility.
After Soul peeked over the debris and examine the area, she
spoke in a quiet tone of voice.

"This is going to be harder than I thought. O.M.Ni is too smart." she said.

Cross glanced at her and replied. "What do you mean?" he asked.

"They have one patrol made of only two guards. But if what I know
serves me right, that is really not the case. Whenever you see one patrol
consisting of two or three members tops, that means theres another
watching from a distance. We have to find out where the other patrol is
hiding."

Soul reached her left index finger behind her left ear, and pressed a tiny
button that been attached behind her earlobe.
"Anjel. We have a problem." she briefly said before Anjel interrupted.
"Yes, I know. I'm working on it now." he replied.
Both Cross and Soul looked at each other before Anjel ringed them back.

"Alright. Northeast of your exact location, there is a watchtower. From
their perspective, they can observe the entrance, but there is a niche.
Beside the entrance on the side of the building, there should be a
blindspot. If you can somehow get them in that corner and disguise yourselves
as them, then you may be able to sneak inside."

Soul nodded her head and replied. "Alright. We will notify you, when we're
inside. Soul out."
Cross glanced at Soul. "So whats the plan?" he asked. "I got it." she replied.

X( This story gets more and more depressing! I hated her but know feel sympathy for Soul. It's terrible that Cross will smote her, I can't imagine her wanting to go on if her sister was rescued. I'll keep reading, wondering how this story is going to play out. Wonderful work so far, X. You evil man, you!

((Thanks lol. Yeah, I refuse to allow this story get brighter lol. IMO a good RPG game or story: It has to be dark, emotional, overwhelming. The reader has to feel betrayed or abused either physically or mentally. Thats how all my works are.))

I read through part 1 (the other topic) and everything here and so far I'm liking it a lot. I'm all for depressing, dark and twisted stories. Hell it's the only kind I write myself. Good job on these! I'm looking forward to the next one! biggrin.gif

"Make it quick!" shouted a O.M.Ni guard. With tight force, he pushed Spirit inside the chamber Cross was locked into.
Unlike her sister Soul, Spirit was a lot more naive and soft in personality.
Her captivity caused a lot of pain for her sister. Even if it was Spirit's fought that they were caught.
Spirit put her sister in a very tight position, and put Cross in grave danger. Cross was O.M.Ni's most wanted man.
Now that they have him, who knows what they will do next.
After Soul failed to get anything out of Cross, Spirit was given the opportunity.
O.M.Ni believed Spirit could maybe get something out of him. Any type of information would suffice at that moment.
The most vital information they need, however, spirals around the idea of their so called "revolution."
Before the capture, Cross and Spirit had a mutual relationship. She always described Cross as her "legitimate lifesaver."
Not anymore it seems...It appeared that Cross has turned into a complete monster.
Not even the closest person to him could stop the homicidal bloodshed he planned to ensue after he gets free.
And if need so...he would even kill that person as well.
Spirit trembled as she stepped closer toward Cross. The man was asleep. In an attempt to awake him, she reached a finger
over to at least tap him on his shoulder. Turns out, Cross wasn't sleep at all. His eyes slowly looked up at Spirit.
She gasped as she witnessed the bruises he has endured.
"...C-Cross...?" she asked. As she began to step closer, Cross started growling under his breath as if he was a savage beast waiting to strike its prey. "What have they done to you...?" Spirit was tasked to ask Cross questions. She carried out her duty hesitantly.
"Cross...you have to tell me...where are the others?" she asked with a more stern expression this time.
As the man lowered his head some, he replied. Which was surprising, since Cross has spoken since he has been there.
"I don't know." he said. She gulped and continued. "You have to give me something, Cross...or else they won't let you out of here. They'll kill us both and my sister...Please...help us, help you."
Cross sprung with a sense of anger at the name "Soul." The very name pushed his temperature to new heights.
He replied. "When I get out of this chair, I will kill you...and anyone who stands in my way!" he said.
His remark pushed a surge of anger through Spirit. She immediately turned around and jabbed at the wall behind her.
"Damnit!" she hollered. She ran both hands down her face, wiping the sweat that previously sprung on her body.
Slight tears strolled down her eyes. Spirit knew, that if she doesn't get anything out of him, she would be punished. She needed something! "...I'm going to ask you one more time...Where is everyone el-" she said before she was suddenly cut off.
Cross erupted in pure rage. Hopping and jumping in his chair, trying to rip the heavy chains that binded his hands behind the legs
of his seat. He shouted. "WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO! HUH?! YOU HAVE NO AUTHORITY OVER ME!" he began smiling menacingly
as he situated himself and continued. "YOU'RE A FUCKING TOOL! DO YOU HEAR ME! YOU'RE NOTHING BUT A FUCKING TOOL!
I WILL KILL YOU FOR EVEN SUBMITTING TO THEM! I DON'T FUCKING CARE! I WILL FUCKING KILL EVERYBODY IN THIS FACILITY!
I HATE YOU! YOUR SISTER! EVERYBODY CAN DIE! BECAUSE NO ONE ISN'T AS SERIOUS ABOUT THE REVOLUTION! NO ONE IS
WILLING TO PUT THEIR LIFE ON THE LINE ANYMORE! YOU PEOPLE ARE SCARED OF THEM! WHY?! YOU'RE NOTHING BUT A FILTHY
WHORE! I AM THE REVOLUTION! I WILL DESTROY EVERY ASPECT OF THEIR ENTIRE EXISTENCE! EVEN IF IT MEANS KILLING YOU!" he took a few short breaths. His raging eyes gazing directly at Spirit. She knew...she knew every word he said was true.
The more he spoke the truth, the more tears streamed down the side of her cheeks. She couldn't take it anymore.
Instead of carrying on the task she had been given by the O.M.Ni authorities, she sprinted out of the chamber, but was stopped by
a couple of the guards who stood in front of the door.
As both men forcefully grasped the resisting, and squirming sixteen year old, a couple more agents ran inside and tazed Cross,
while also injecting him with a certain type of depressant that would calm him down.
Spirit could hear his screams. She covered her ears and screamed out tears of absolute pain.
The guards growled and carried Spirit back to the cell in which she was kept.
Meanwhile, in another part of the facility, Soul looked on to the entire scene that unfolded between Cross and her sister through visual cameras. She sat beside her superior's high chair like a pet. As she looked on, her superior petted the top of her head like a dog.
Soul trembled as slight tears formed underneath her eyes. Spirit... she thought.
