Hey whatsup guys, since a lot of people have been asking me to explain to them how I did my characters for Vylternia Chapters I decided to make a more thurough Tutorial.

What you will learn in this tutorial:
- ghetto rigging battler templates
- A better understanding of what actors to choose
- some other stuff
- a college degree in psychology

So here is the tutorial:
http://img231.imageshack.us/img231/8786/despitestutorial.png

Yes...It's an image....A big....Big....BIIIIG image.

It'd be best for you to just save it on your desktop and view it with windows picture viewer.

Here are the images you'll be needing for the tutorial:

Tree monster:

And here's the youtube vid showing off the character we just made:

By the way...I JUST uploaded that youtube video, and they say it'll degrade the quality til its fully processed. sad.gif
Also sorry for the lag spikes in it...My com just sucks balls. sad.gif
EDIT: Video is done processing, be sure to click on HIGH QUALITY.

Well thats about it, have fun post any questions here and don't rip this tutorial.

Bye bye

Hi! thanks for that tutorial, I think it covers lots of stuff necessary for beginers to understand basic stuff and not get lost and discouraged from the very begining! XD

I just wanted to ask something (I wrote it in your video on youtube, but thought this is a more proper place to ask)

After reading your tutorial, I got bad news when I read that I need to use the same size for the walking sprite and for battle poses sprites XD Are the animations of the walking sprites used as part of the animation during battle? ´cos if they are not, I think you don´t need to keep them the same size as battle graphics... given that you place them into their "squares" and put the $ simbol and all, of course.

I mean, our characters are the standard size of VX (one square) and I was hoping to make bigger sprites for battle while remaining walking sprites little and cute... just to avoid redrawing them into "XP size" because we´ve already made lots of characters and animations.

thanks for your time ^^
