creativity is like productivity.
While productivity is the effectiveness of what is being produced
Creativity is the effectiveness of what is being created.
Creation being the ultimate art form basically leaves us with creativity just being the effect to which we create.
Whenever anything is created, there is some form of creativity. When there is something created that it inspire new creations, that is when it is creative, because it is effective at creating new ideas beyond itself.
Well that's my definition anyway.
It's my opinion that creation is the ONLY art form. If something is created, it is art in at least some sense. I'm not talking about something that is reproduced (think factories,) but rather bringing into existence something

For the most part I agree with you, Sparrowsmith. If anyone can think of art which does not involve creation, I'd like to hear it.
As far as modern art goes, I find it mostly reprehensible. I typically judge art by the amount of brain activity it inspires in me, and modern art doesn't really cause much more than a flicker. Usually. Sometimes there will be a profound piece of modern art that I can appreciate, but usually not.
Classical art though... I can't get enough
