Block Color Changing Puzzle, Can it be done? Options

Hello. I'm working on a puzzle-based exploration game in the vein of Professor Layton, and I need help.

I'm stuck on a puzzle idea where the gist of it is:

You have 4 blocks in a line colored red, blue, yellow, and green in that order.
When you press the Z key at a block, the color of a block changes to the next in the order,
while shifting the previous color to the blocks adjacent to it.
The object of the puzzle is to turn all the blocks red.

Can it be done, or will I have to find an alternate solution or idea?

Hrm well I don't have 2k/2k3 to test this out, but do variable events exist? If they do I can write you up an event that should do it for you.

edit: Errr...I realized the tutorial I made was similar but not exactly what you are looking for, I will make another one for you with the changes needed and post it here. It's still just as easy, just requires a few minor tweaks.
