So yeah, I'm happy now. Finally arrived, and now I'm the proud owner of a 142 page score book. It's got full piano scores for every single song in Chrono Trigger(even the unreleased Singing Mountain). While it's not as awesome as full score book would be, I can live with having piano scores.

The only downside is that all the text is in Japanese, but it's got standard notation that's perfectly readable regardless of language. Now if only I could find a reasonably priced copy of that Chrono Cross piano score book, but it's out of print sad.gif

Wow, it looks expensive. (!) Reminds me of my sister so much tho lol. : )
She buys so many collector books and stuff. Especially artbooks... but your a musician so I guess the soundtrack would be a natural thing for you to collect. It's interesting actually... I wonder if spriters focus on collecting/looking at sprites, and character designers like looking at the different outfits/designs/clothes, etc.

Still, yes... we have the same problem. :/ We can sometimes ask our mom for help, but if the characters are solely Japanese, no one can read them..... XD

Edit: i'll tell you right now though that " 一 " should mean 'one' or 'a'

If you play these songs I demand you record it! I love CT, especially the music! Also I'm 100% jealous you have that!

It was only about $40, actually, because it's piano arrangements(and not full scores by the original composer). But that's fine, because I can really do more with piano scores. As I don't actually have a piano of my own(play on a friend's keyboard, or hang out at the local Guitar Center on occasion), I'll probably translate it into a ukulele score.

I plan on getting a Super Mario series piano score book soon. They're pretty common and only $20, but this'll hold me over for a long time. The only thing I dislike about it is that it doesn't include anything from Super Mario RPG. It's got a ton from Super Mario 1-3, the Wii versions and even some Mario Kart and Dr. Mario, but no SMRPG.

That is a major shame, SMRPG has a really great sound track! I dunno if I ever considered listening to CT soundtracks in Ukulele but we'll see how it turns out!

Well I really don't know much about music, but everyone has heard of crono trigger, one of the most beautifully made games ever. So I assume the music is just as superb, for a composer I see this is a great thing to have?

Yeah, I've seen a lot of them. The cost is likely because these aren't just standard score books. They're imported score books with professional arrangements.
