Hi!

Resource Packs are never a bad idea, but just for the sake of organisation, perhaps it might be good to seperate the pack into smaller packs (eg. VX Resources and 2k3 Resources etc) to save downloaders from having to sort through resources they won't or can't use to find the ones they want.

I actually planned on doing that once I got it a little bigger (I have quite a few sites to sort through). So in short, I'll have all the packs split up into smaller packs, and I'll just have the one big pack available for download as well.

Good to hear. I'm speaking from experience when I say it's a good idea. I released a massive pack once and people tended to ignore it until I'd split it up.

I appreciate the advice Gaia . I don't want all my hard work to be in vain! I would hate to use all this time to collect these resources just for people to not care about it. Maybe it'll be mentioned in the new R3 news and views, whenever it comes out again. That'd be sure to get it some attention!

And one last tip; I know you have a list of credits, but make sure you make that absolutely clear in your opening post. I had credits in my pack, nobody used them and it caused trouble.

You got it. I wanted to make nice dividers for my post (like what Kaz had in the R3 News and Views) and I was going to make it look all fancy, with all the different download links and credits, along with userbars and everything. I'll make sure to not only have the credits in my pack, but to post them in the first post as well.

also you could try hosting the file via torrent then include the files unpacked out of zip files but organized by directory...

that way people can pull the files they want from the torrent and leave the rest.

2011 Kicks off with Version 1.6 of RRP! Enjoy! If anyone has a specific website they want me to upload the pack to, just let me know. I usually use megaupload and mediafire. Anyone have some resources to submit or know of a website where there's a selection of resources?

Would something along the lines of a suggestion work? There was a minkoff battler that I had at one point of this cute little white hair girl in a pink dress. Her defensive stance consisted of her holding up a big cooking pot to protect herself. I had her all edited up, and ready for my game but then lost her. If you can find her again, or even find her sprite sheet from the original game she came from, I can edit her up, and contribute her to your Resource pack.

If they're not available already, it might be good to rip the icons from Lufia 2 (which has a lot of icons in it). I might do it myself.

Thanks Arwin, I hope you enjoy it . Once I get version 2.0 I'll be putting out separate downloads for each type of resource (Character sheets, tilesets, etc) so everyone doesn't HAVE to download the pack itself for what they need. I know it's quite large and it's only going to get bigger. I'll keep the pack together as a whole as well though for people who want it all.
