The midwest episodes of American Ninja Warrior 4 are airing today! If you have the channel, G4, check it out at 8PM Central/9PM Eastern. Check your local listings for other times zones.

This year, you can also find the show on iTunes!

I don't know if my run will be shown or not, but if it is, it would be tonight!

Here was my audition video: Turbo's Audition

The name of the show just makes me want to vomit! My stupid brother loves watching this crap, then again he also loves to watch ghost hunters so that should tell you alot. The idea of a american doing actual ninja stuff is just a slap in the face when you compare the history of japan and america.

The course is just a joke, made to look like some cheap game show. Want to see the real thing check out the Japan version/real ones. For gods sake there are still temples and ppl in Japan that still live and train this way.

I really hate all these shows america makes that just seems to piss on other countries. Survivor, the ppl that made that should should be thrown into a yemen prison and see how fun it is to survive that.

This show is an obstacle course. It is not making fun of Japan in any way. It is inspired by the Japanese game show, Sasuke.

Please note that the Japanese company behind the course in Japan assisted in the design of this show and course. They have always worked together with them, so it isn't like it was an American invention that makes fun of Japanese concepts. It is true that it isn't the same, and of course the goal is to make it to the Japanese show, but unfortunately, the Japanese show went bankrupt.

The announcers may not be as good, but overall it does capture the same spirit as the Japanese show; at least for us competitors. The way they spin things on the show may give it an American feel, which isn't the same, but if it keeps things alive, that might mean the Japanese version will come back.

Anyway, as it turns out, they did not show my run, however, they briefly showed a small portion of my audition video where I was doing the Salmon Ladder in the Winter.

The spirit of this show is not competition against each other, but in companionship through shared struggle against the course. Sure, there are limited spots, and the American announcers try to hype up competition because American audiences want that kind of thing, but all the people involved are supportive of each other and wish for all to succeed.

Several of my friends who I've met through this show made it to the semifinals. Please show your support by watching on NBC tonight at 8PM central/9PM Eastern.

Now, also note that because the Japanese company, Monster 9, went bankrupt, the 4 stage course was built in Las Vegas this year. That part of the show will air later on, but will be more familiar to those of you who prefer Sasuke/Ninja Warrior.
