Eternal: Once Upon a Time
Abstract: Long ago it was foretold that three heroes from another world would appear in Neos and save it from a pressing danger. Unfortunately for Neos, those three consist a 4'10" girl, her childhood friend, and a girl who has a rather intense crush on him.
The main character of the story. 16 years old. High school student. She's clumsy, easily excited, shy yet at the same time outgoing, kind, and very childish. She has been friends with Yoriki since she was a child. She's also very short for her age and is picked on about it all the time. Despite her clumsiness and short stature, she's the vice-president of the archery club.
Weapon of choice: Bows
Yoriki Nagano-
17 years old. High school student/Practices kendo. He's kind, handsome, outgoing, smart, extremely athletic, and loved by just about everyone. About 75% of the girls at his school banded together to create a Yoriki Nagano Fanclub in which they spend their time doing anything and everything to get his attention. He's Mitsuki's childhood friend and in the same grade as her. After school, he practices kendo at his father's dojo. He values his friends and family above all else.
Weapon of choice: Swords
Mina Miyuki-
17 years old. High school student/Head cheerleader/Blackbelt in karate/Yoriki Nagano Fanclub leader. Hot-tempered and sure of herself, Mina flaunts her talent in both cheerleading and martial arts. She practices karate at Yoriki's father's dojo. When she isn't busy with karate or school, Mina spends most of her time leading the Yoriki Nagano Fanclub through their crazy antics. Because of her father's high position in his company, Mina's home life tends to be quite dull. She often has to fend for herself by shopping and cooking dinner. Her father never let her have a pet, however, she takes care of a stray kitten whom she named Saphire.
Weapon of choice: Gloves/bare-handed
Sheena Kudo-
18 years old. Killer Kunoichi (Female ninja). She's a bit too overconfident in her skills and often boasts. Despite her claims, when she's not on the job, she's extremely clumsy. While not as clumsy as the short, blue-haired girl we all know and love, she makes mistakes anywhere from tripping over her own feet to forgetting where she was going when on walks. Despite her constant bickering with Mina, she's a sort of big sister figure to Mitsuki and the rest of the children around Kwawren village. Her "grandfather," as she calls him, is actually only in his late 20s. He found her abandoned in Kwawren Forest when she was a child. She doesn't know who or where her real parents are.
Weapon of choice: Knives/thrown weapons (ex: boomerang, shuriken)
Telia Neos-
17 years old. Princess of Neos/sister. She's the princess of Neos, the world of the book. She's the youngest of three siblings. Her mother died 7 years ago, when she was 10. Her father became very protective soon after and never lets her leave the castle for fear of something happening to her. She's kind, caring, more outgoing than Mitsuki but shyer than Yoriki, quiet, easily scared, and brave when it come to things she cares about. She cares deeply about her 2 brothers. She hopes that one day she'll be free from her father's over-protectiveness.
Weapon of choice: Staves/Fans/Magic Books
Keru Neos-
19 years old. Prince of Neos/Brother. He's the second oldest of the royal siblings. His mother died seven years ago. This caused him to become silent. He rarely talks or smiles and comes off as cold. He believes his mother stopped loving him when she died. He does everything his father tells him to do so that he doesn't lose the love of another parent. He has a soft spot for his sister and only ever smiles (rarely) around her.
Weapon of choice: Swords/Scythes
Velm Neos-
21 years old. The oldest of the royal siblings. His mother died 7 years ago and he ran away 2 years later. Nobody knows where he went or what happened to him.
Weapon of choice: Large swords/Hammers/Axes
Milly-
She looks like she's 15/16 years old. half cat/half human. She's hyper, crazy, bouncy, hot-headed, annoying, loves fish, kind, fast, tricky, sly, and likes to joke around. On an adventure to see the world with her brother, she happens upon our group of heroes and joins as an apology for stealing their dinner.
Weapon of choice: Claws/Whips/Hammers
Mile-
Milly's brother 15/16 years old. half dog/half human. He's the more logical one of the two siblings. He thinks before he acts (Unlike his sister). He's forced to join the group by his sister. At first he seems annoyed by the group, but he slowly grows to like everyone and perhaps becomes a little less strict in the process.
Weapon of choice: Boomerang/Slingshots
Futeki Asou-
15 years old (looks younger) Futeki is always being made fun of how he looks so young ,and people sometimes mistake him for a child (Usually a little girl). He enjoys music and can play many instruments. He's a travelling musician who travels with a few other musicians. Despite his looks, height, and everything else, he's a big flirt. He thinks that all women love him. He hits on almost any and every woman he sees (and often get's hurt because of it.) He joins Mitsuki's party because he fell in love with her at first sight, but unfortunatly for him, she's completely clueless.
Weapon of choice: Musicle Instuments (ex: Harp, Flute, Ocarina)

Friendship/Relationship Points- Certain choices that the player makes can effect what people say and if certain sidequests appear in the game.
Party-switcher: Now we have an active and reserve party. Four characters will fight while the others just sit there. You can switch party members in the menu. And yes, reserve party members do get exp.
Multiple - Currently, there are 16 different endings to the game. This ties into the Friendship/Relationship Points Feature. If you manage to forge a strong bond with someone before the story is over, you might just unlock their ending.
Progress: Demo Version 1.30 released. Covers roughly first five/six hours of game play.
Known Errors: - Stupid me removed an audio file that was used in the game, so the game will crash as a result. EDIT: Place this in the BGM Folder. - There was another missing audio file on my part. Sorry. Just do not talk to the cat that's being chased by the boy in the Meliara Business district or the game will crash.

Yeah, I plan for it to be a pretty long game, so... despite it's length... this demo isn't much. xD Also, with the whole different endings thing, some replaying with definitely be needed to experience everything. As for more users getting attracted to it; I hope they do. I'd really like for people to like Eternal. Thanks for your support.

Hey, I found a bug. After you get Mina and after the long cutscenes(keep in mind this may annoy some people), in sheena's house, you can walk up the table by some papers.

I got lost in the forest of the ninjas from what I saw though the mapping is excellent and I love the quirky dialogues, I found all the forests to give me a little bit of a headache from wandering through though. Could just be me though.

I think that the plotline is really random, and the features looked like you added them just to have some features. Frankly, I don't see how the contribute to gameplay.

Two known errors have been brought to my attention, and I have updated the first post accordingly.
- Stupid me removed an audio file that was used in the game, so the game will crash as a result. I'll work on uploading the file so you can just paste it into the audio folder, but until then, copy the Battle4ace.ogg in the audio folder so you have two of them, and rename one "Omen.ogg" That should fix the problem. Sorry, guys.
- There was another missing audio file on my part. Sorry. Just do not talk to the cat that's being chased by the boy in the Meliara Business district or the game will crash.

This game looks interesting! I do like your maps and characters. I enjoy randomness in a game play and a game with multiple endings is always a plus, I hope it turns out well.
It's nice to see other people forgetting audio files aside from just me.
One thing I did notice is that you are using a side-view battle system with default monsters, this causes for very large monsters, a problem I had in one of my own projects. What I did is use sprites for the enemies as well as my players, you can add them in the exact same way you add your team battlers. I realize this can be troublesome for monsters and such, and that some monsters just need to be big, but you may consider adding them in for some of your enemies.
The ones that should be small, like bats and such, look really odd at that size. Anyways, I hope this was helpful, if you need any tips or just want general criticism I will be glad to help.

Yeah, I did notice that. I do have some new battlers. (Some of the screenshots are outdated.) For instance, I've replaced the bats with the bat graphics from ACE cause they look more like bats and they're smaller.
The only thing is, if I used sprites, I'd want them animated which would require messing with the script which is something I'd rather not do. Maybe at a later date I'll mess with it; I'll keep it in mind.

Actually if you are using Tankentai V1.2 as I am, you don't need to change anything, they work just fine, using the Notetags Add-on. You'll need to put some things on your battlers to make them work, allow me to post a SS.

Hi there, I would love to play your game, but:
1st. the omen.ogg file has 0(zero) Byte after Download 2nd. why for erveryones sake rapidshare??? tried serval times to download, after half an hour ca. 20MB downloaded and no more progress
I know rapidshare is generaly slow since February, but for me it's impossible to download a 220MB file

1. Really? I wonder what's up with that. I'll try to figure out what went wrong. 2. I know Rapidshare isn't the best; I'm just not sure where to upload it that can handle it's filesize and such. It's a large file (because of the audio folder which is around half of the whole file.) If you know of any place that I can upload it for free, please let me know. I'll keep searching.
