Introduction:
"When you look into a mirror, the world you see is a reflection of the world you are in. The reflection should be identical, since what is inside a mirror is not another world, it is only a reflection. Why then, is this not the case? When I look into a mirror, I see things that are not there when I turn around. Why do I see things that are not really there? Why do I see pain, suffering, and death? I no longer think the worlds are the same. I must find the truth."

Storyline:
Five hundred years after Ikode 2: The Supreme Dragon, the story of Ikode 3: Broken Mirror begins with Syren, the main character, on the beach south of Risaya. He had awoken this morning from a dream where he went to the beach and got rich, so he went there in hopes that his dream would come true. Sure enough, he finds a solid gold necklace lying in the sand. He heads home when suddenly the world seems to change, and the path which he normally takes home is gone. Syren takes the cave route home, but cave he walks into is far different from the actual cave. It's like a garden, filled with crystal clear water, and a glowing pedistal with a large piece of broken glass in the center. When he picks it up, the cave reverts to its original form. Syren gets thrown into a big mystery: What is this strange necklace, the unknown world and the shard of glass which was found inside it? And how does all of this relate to Atrius and the Devil? Find out in this thrilling conclusion of The Ikode Trilogy.

Characters:
Syren: Age 50: The main character. A treasure hunter by profession. He lives in Risaya with his only son, Ashel. His wife is deseased. He is obsessed with getting rich.
Ashel: Age 25: Syren's son. Also a treasure hunter. He cannot see his reflection in the glass shard, and this furthers the mystery of this strange new world.
Felix: Age 45: Syren's friend. Also a treasure hunter, but much lazier than Syren. His bad mouth often gets him into trouble.
Sirus: Age 25: A mage, obsessed with finding an error in the mirror, he and Viera experiment constantly.
Viera: Age 25: Sirus's wife. She reluctantly aids him in his experiments.
Matthias: Age 87: Descendant of Matthias and Syren's friend. He lives alone in Leron.

Gameplay:
This game combines the easier travel of Ikode 2: TSD with a new customization system based off of Ikode: TWOI. The game takes place in the planet of Ikode which has altered somewhat over the last 500 years. Gameplay is traditional RPG.

Download Game: (Note: This game is third in a trilogy. While the storyline is perfectly understandable without playing the first two in the series, it is recommended you play Ikode: The World of Infinity, and Ikode 2: The Supreme Dragon first. The links to those games can be seen in the signature.)

I have limited knowledge of forums. I copied and pasted the summary from what he already had written.

Would you mind if I then editted the post with screenshots?

I'm so sad and sorry to hear that, he seemed like a really great guy from his posts. I loved his other Ikode games so I'll deffinitly download this one and play it too. They're simple but creative games, really showing what you can do even with the RTP.

How sad a fate !
While playing Ikode 2 I stood in close contact with Lost Samurai - he always helped me kindly.
May he rest in peace.
I would like to express my regret to his family and friends.

I've downloaded Ikode 3 - an I'll play it in memoriam to Lost Samurai.

I think I remember playing the 1st one of this series but i cant remember as its been awhile.
Main reason for posting this however is to express my condolenis (spelt that wrong) for the family and friends of lostsamurai.
From the posts i've previously read he sounded like a kind considerate person and also sounds like he will be greatly missed.

It seems I owe an explanation, and an apology, to any of those who did know me on these forums about 8 months ago.
I know I wasn't a major contributor to this forum, but I did converse with several people, and I appreciated very much those who played my series, which included Ikode: The World of Infinity, and Ikode 2: The Supreme Dragon (see my sig)

So, back in March, I was in an extremely bad place in my life. To make a long, personal story short, my life fell apart, and I wound up in the hospital after attempting suicide. Well my newly ex girlfriend at the time (who was at least 50% of the cause of my life falling apart) destroyed a bunch of my stuff, logged onto a bunch of my accounts, such as facebook, and ruined them, and spread a bunch of nasty rumors. Like that I tried to rape her. And apparently, she told this forum that I was dead, and posted my third, incomplete game on the forums.

What a bitch.

Well, I did almost die. And I went through a long chain of rehab and therapy and the likes, then a death in the family, and a bunch more difficult stuff. Which is why I have taken such a long hiatus from RPG making. It is an important part of my life, but priorities come in order. I finally got my life back together, and have never fucking spoken to that crazy bitch again. Now I return, very much alive, and ready to complete my trilogy. It may be the last RPG I ever make, maybe not (it is very addicting), but I am determined to finish what I started.

So, I'm sorry, to all those who were deceived. I know the death of an anonymous person on the internet doesn't really make anyone lose much sleep, but I am still very much embarrassed. But my love of RPG making outweighs the shame, so I make a return.

TL;DR: I'm not dead, my ex girlfriend's a crazy bitch, and I WILL BE FINISHING THIS GAME. I DUNNO IF ANYONE CARES, BUT I'M DOING IT FOR MYSELF ANYWAY smile.gif

Wow, I’m glad you’re doing better now, not being dead and all. Also glad to hear you’re finishing the 3rd one! I played the unfinished version and it was pretty fun (If I remember right), so I’m looking forward to the finished product. Great to have you back.

Thanks, I'm glad to be back (and alive)

So far, the new version knocks the pants off of the old version. I think it will be an epic end to the Ikode trilogy. smile.gif

whoever make the "script" if you can even call it that to put a small pic in the middle of a text box...behind text...so half the pic is blocked should be hit in the face repeatedly. That is the biggest eyesore I see ppl use in there games. Now you say this is the 3rd game??? how long was the first?

Nothing wrong making series but whats the gameplay time like?

The entire series is about 15 hours long.

The game actually became a series by accident. Originally, Ikode: The World of Infinity was intended to be a standalone game. But when I was finishing the game's story, the ending wasn't satisfying enough, leaving many points open. In order to deal with this it I led it into the storyline of a very old game I had created which had a more concrete ending. Ikode 2: The Supreme Dragon is actually a remake of a less in-depth RPG Maker 2000 and then RPG Maker 2003 game that I made 7+ years ago. The storyline and gameplay are heavily modified (ie: mostly created for the first time) to fit the new universe, but the core of the game is the same as the original. However, the ending of the second game was even more unsatisfying. I found a character asking an extremely vital question in the end of the second game that could not easily be answered. But, by some creative miracle, I already had the answer I was looking for, in this game, which at the time was a game entitled simply "Broken Mirror." The first version of this game was created years before Ikode: The World of Infinity, and it had absolutely nothing to do with the series. However, being still very inexperienced, the game was rather lacking in the everthing department. But I had dug myself into a hole by linking it with Ikode, because of how perfectly it led into this game. So I made a complete overhaul, re-did almost all the maps, enchanced the storyline, gameplay, etc, and thus, created Ikode 3: Broken Mirror, which I believe is a the long sought-after conclusion to this plot. I am completely satisfied with how this game ends, and I feel I can finally put the world of Ikode to rest.

Any of these games can be played alone for an enjoyable experience, but the full storyline isn't appreciated unless they are all played.

Just now playing the first game. I honestly love the concept of the necklaces. Yeah, so I got about an hour in, then got careless and died. So now I'm in that cool-off period where you whine about your miserable life and contemplate why the game is so bad (even though it really isn't and you're just butthurt). Can't wait to finish the first two and give this one a try, I'm sure you've made it an absolute face-melter.

Thanks for the support smile.gif After a lot of support from my family, therapy, and time, I'm in a better place now than I was last year. I've managed to get my life back in order for the most part. But it's a work in progress, and I appreciate your prayers, and I also appreciate that you're trying out my series smile.gif I hope you enjoy it!
