Rules and Guidelines

Rules

Bumping
Wait 36 hours before bumping your topic. If you forgot important info, use the Edit button.

Necroposting
Bumping (by the topic starter) a non resolved topic over one month old is allowed. The standard rules apply in the other cases.

Flaming
While you may find irritating to see the same questions asked over and over again, insulting others is definitely a no-no. You don't have to be nice, but refrain from flaming.
Inversely, asking for help and attacking people helping is considered as flaming and will result as a warn.

The general Board Rules still apply. If you haven't read them, do it now.

Guidelines

Before starting a topic, three steps:

- A lot of tutorials have been made for both RM2k and RM2k3; it is always a good idea to consult them beforehand. For instance, Dark Gaia's Noob's Guide.
- You can find various event systems in the Event Emporium. Not only you can use them, but also learn from them.
- The search function: use it.

How to make a decent topic:

- Use a descriptive title: "hlp plz" is completely generic and off-putting, hence will not draw much attention. Purposely misleading titles will be frowned upon.
- Include as much information as possible in your topic. Describe your problem and the conditions surrounding the apparition of said problem. Add a screenshot, or even better, a test demo of your project.

Asking how to make a complex system (custom menu system or battle system) is also not recommended. They are nothing but a combination of more basic eventing, and if you have really no idea of how to begin, you don't have the necessary skill to achieve it. You are however more than welcome to ask questions on specific parts of those systems.
