"I- Kyrin-kun!" Koyuki tried to go after Leon, but the only result was a door slammed on her face. "Crap, he's gonna get in trouble... But I can't leave Elly alone here." She said, deciding to stay. She was sure he'd be fine. Erin would not harm him... or would she? She looked at Natsumi, lying unconscious on Koyuki's arms. She laid her on the couch and sat there. Witches Wall, her favourite research spot. She spun around in an egg chair, looking as it softly changed colors when she got up or sat. Was Elly up yet, she wondered. She had to go after Leon, he could get hurt. Erin would most likely be insanely strong...

Sophia could feel someone was approaching, someone she knew.
Was it one of her friends? Had they finally found her? She opened the door to her home expectantly. She danced in her room, happy, making the final preparations for her amazing tea party.

Leon was running down the street, thinking about just what he had to do, when the world started to distort around him. He stopped and took a deep breath, he knew what this meant. "Erin...." He whispered. The world was suddenly formed in solid darkness as the maze exploded outwards. He closed his eyes and let them adjust to the blackness, he could already hear sounds, laughter and what sounded like plates and cups being moved around. "What have I done to you, Erin?" He felt the weight of his guilt pushing down on his chest. "I will end this before anything else can happen, I promise."

Elly was already up and moving, she stepped out of her room just as Koyuki reached the door. "Er...Senpai." She said, not really knowing what to say next, she was really concerned for her brother, but she couldn't just go destroy this witch, that would just make things worse. She was only twelve, she wasn't used to questions like this. It was nothing like she expected to be able to do when she became a magi. She was supposed to bring about love and happiness, not.....not this.

Sophia stopped. She knew there was someone at the top of the tunnel she'd made, the large tunnel she'd decorated with so many drawings of her friends and her. She finished pouring her tea and sent up her dear familiars to welcome their new friend.
Hundreds of worn out teddy bears flew up, using their single wing. She sat and waited, letting one of her darling minions brush her hair and braid it- She loved braids, almost as much as she loved friends.

"Oh!" Koyuki turned to face Elly. "Good morning, Elly-chan. Do you want to eat something?" She smiled at the girl. She knew what she was thinking, but Koyuki couldn't let her go to that fight. It would be difficult. And she would not let such a young magi put herself on the line like that. "I'm just going to tell you something... There's a way to save her. Don't worry. I won't let anything worse happen to your brother or Eri." She tried to seem comforting, the poor girl was confused, and she had good reasons to.

Leon opened his eyes and saw the pictures pointing down the tunnel, they were crude drawings of him and Koyuki...was that even Elly? "Erin...I know you are still in here. I promise I will save you. I will save you no matter the cost! Just wait for me." From the tunnel flew hundreds of teddy bears, with one wing. Familiars. He would have to destroy them, every single one. He sighed and his faceplate slid into place, hiding his emotions and thoughts from the world, then he put up his mental armor, preventing his emotions from escaping, even to himself. Silently he charged forward, literally ripping the stuffing from the teddy bears.

Elly didn't know what to say, she knew that Koyuki was preventing her from leaving, but what could she do? "S-sure, Senpai. That sounds....good...." She looked out the window, she could feel the witch's presence and she knew that her brother was already in the maze. She did not need her magi powers to know how much he would be suffering. She steeled her determination, she had no choice but to do this. "Senpai....I'm sorry." She transformed and swung out with her hammer, intending to catch Koyuki off guard and knock her out, at least for a moment. Don't worry, Onii-san, Elly will be there soon!

A sharp pain hit Sophia's body. One of her familiars had been killed! Why?! Why was this person doing this?! She only wanted to welcome them, but they were hurting her. She cried, she cried for what seemed a very long time.
She would not hurt her friends. But this person had hurt her. Were they her friend? She didn't know, somehow she recognized this person, from a far away place and a long lost time. She growled something to her familiars and told them to bring the intruder to her, quickly. She would see them by herself, and only after would she judge.

Koyuki smirked as she skillfully dodged Elly's hammer. She too transformed, and held the girl tight from her back.
"Now, now, you shouldn't try to hit someone that can read your thoughts, didn't you learn anything yesterday?" She giggled, and tried to cast a sleeping illusion on the little girl.

Leon finally began to ignore the Teddy Bears, if any remained once he was finished, he would destroy them, at that time. He began to run down the tunnel, as he did he realized the pictures become more and more distorted, it was obvious that Erin still cared about them all but she was showing corruption in her maze. He wanted to cry out, wanted to weep for her, but he had no time, he had shut down his emotions so that he would do what had to be done, even if it destroyed him in the process. He stood outside a strange door, it took him a moment to recognize it. It was the door leading to the roof of their school, but it was twisted and warped so that it was hardly recognizable. He opened the door and stepped through, this was it.

Elly felt herself growing tired, she should be in bed, she should rest. Onii-san. The one thought hit her, causing her emotions to boil over. This was no time to be rest, she grew angry at herself, angry at the person trying to make her sleep, angry at the world, and that anger spilled over, contaminating everyone and everything in a mile radius. Her power was leaking out of control, anger was the biggest weakness to her power that she had, and things were not going to turn out well for anyone involved. She narrowed her eyes and focused on Koyuki, she began to attack her in a blind rage, no reason, no skill, no thoughts, just pure aggression.

Sophia turned around. There he was. The intruder. She ran to him, she knew him. A strong feeling reached her, but she could not recognize it. It felt... better than happiness. But what was it? She did not know, she was scared. She stopped midways and let her body fall on the ground, weeping. Why was he doing this to her? She knew he was her friend, did he not like her anymore? Did he want to hurt her? She held herself closer, frightened.

Koyuki felt anger rising in her, coming from Elly. "Get your powers controlled!" She yelled at the girl, kicking her backwards and dodging her hammer. She would have to cast an illusion. A poweful illusion. But first, she needed to get an opening.
She summonned her largest cannon, it was almost the size of the room. She was standing on one end, Elly on the other.
"You're not going out. Just give up already!" She yelled, anger boiling in her blood. She was not thinking straight, she couldn't.

Leon stopped when he saw the witch, she did not look like a witch. She was Erin...she was just younger...was this her inner persona? His emotional shield shattered when he saw her, it could not hold up to his feelings. His faceplate came up and he approached her, he didn't know what he was doing, but he could not attack her. "Erin...." He knelt down next to her and reached out to touch her, he was unsure of what would happen next, but he didn't care. He could never hurt her, not Erin, not even if she was a witch. Tears began to stream down his face as he touched her shoulder.

Elly swung her hammer at the giant cannon, striking the end of it and pointing it towards the ground. She then jumped onto it and ran towards he foe, her hated foe, and swung her hammer again and again. There was no skill to it, but the hammer was fast. In her hands it was as light as paper, but as heavy as a battleship to the person on the receiving end. "I hate you! I hate you! You want to let my Onii-san get hurt! I'll kill you! I swear!" Anger was boiling even higher and she could vaguely sense the anger of all the neighbors growing as fist fights and arguments began to break out all around them.

Sophia looked as he too cried. Was he hurt? Was he scared too? She could not hurt him, he was sad. She would not hurt people who were sad. She smiled at him, and transformed to her real self. She let her doll grow, and grow, and grow, until she was bigger than the room. She smiled at him, the buttons on her face were more perfect than the stupid glasses she had to wear. She swayed the four braids of her hair in a fake wind, and picked him up with the fifth. She held him in her hands and smiled.
"Are you my friend?" She asked, but all that came out were strange noises.

"Stop it, dammit! Their battle is already almost over! It's no point to join in! They'll be back soon enough!" Koyuki slid under the hammer of Elly, yelling at her. The rage was almost too much to bear, she had to do something. She focused and started to work out an illusion.
A cage fell down on Elly, coming from the roof.
Koyuki laughed, saying it was unbreakable, no point in trying to destroy it.
But would that be enough? Koyuki doubted it, but at least she would gain some time.

Leon did not move as the giant picked him up, this was still Erin, he could feel it deep down inside. Was this how Erin felt when they had to fight Koyuki? He heard her make strange noises, was she trying to talk to him. He had no idea what she was saying, but he looked up at her and smiled, this smile had won him Erin in the first place, hadn't it? Maybe it would work again. He reached down into the pocket of his magi outfit and pulled out the item he had brought with him, it was a small ribbon, the same one he had given to Erin before. He laid it down and smiled at her again, no matter what happened, they would be together.

The cage slammed down around Elly, but her rage would not let her believe the girl. She swung her hammer again and again, each time it bounced off the cage. Nothing was unbreakable! Nothing! She swung again and again, but each time the cage was fine. Her rage began to grow, it became almost a murderous intent, she would not abandon her brother, even if it meant killing everyone else! Everyone would die to save her Onii-san, but first this girl! She swung again and the cage shattered as she dashed towards Koyuki, swinging the hammer again.

Sophia looked at the item that her friend was giving her. It was a tiny ribbon, perfect for tying small hair. She was suddenly even happier, she knew just what to do. She calmly set the boy on the ground, and returned to her other form. She took the ribbon and untied her hair, letting her doll tie it in a single braid with the green ribbon. She took the boy's hand and led him to the table she had so carefully prepared, they would have a tea party just like she saw in that one movie. All she needed was a mad hat.

Koyuki completely lost her reasoning, summoning a cannon and shooting it against Elly's hammer faster than the eye could see. "Stop this! Your brother is fine, I know he is!" She yelled.

Leon sat down at the table, this wasn't so bad, this was Erin after all. He would stay here with her forever if it would be worth it. He watched her pour the tea, she was gentle, she was shy, she was most definitely Erin. He smiled at her, it was nice. "I wonder if you actually understand me." He said. He held out his hand to her, hoping that she would understand what he wanted. Maybe, just maybe he could find a way to communicate with witches, a way to keep her from doing anything bad until he had the energy to steal her corruption.

"He wont' be fine! He needs Elly! Why are you stopping me from helping him? WHY?!" Elly screamed at the top of her lungs, her rage had hit a peak and she would not stop now. She stood up from the hit she had just taken and released her hammer, it started to float near her, as though moved by an invisible hand. "Stalwart Guardian!" She yelled, jumping towards Koyuki. The hammer began to move on it's own, striking at Koyuki as Elly struck at her with fist and foot from the other side. "You will pay for working against my brother! You will pay!"

Sophia heard the boy's voice. It was so kind. She could not understand a word of what he said, but she knew he didn't mean any harm. She set down the teapot and put her hand over his. She felt nice, feeling truly happy for the first time. This boy would be her friend forever, she knew he would. She offered him a cup of tea, smiling. "It's green tea." She said, smiling. She knew he would not understand her, but maybe they would find a way to speak with each other.

"That's it, I've let this drag on too long." A figure walked out of the shadows of Sophia's barrier. "Maybe now I will do it right." It was a woman with a feelingless voice. "I wish that Erin with soulify." She said, monotonous, and a familiar Incubator voice announced that the contract was complete. A pink light lit the room, and the woman held a heart shaped soul gem.
"We meet again." She spoke to it, watching the barrier melt as the witch became a human. She turned around, arrogant, and started walking away.

Just as Koyuki was hit by the hammer and got her whole torso shattered, the presence of a witch vanished. Her gem slowly healed her bones, and she got up, slowly. All the rage she'd felt vanished, her mind finally under her control.
"It's over. They're not battling anymore."

Leon vaguely heard a voice, but it did not register. All he knew was that Erin was fading away, the barrier was melting. "Wait! Wait! What's going on? Erin! Erin!" The barrier suddenly shattered and he was holding Erin's hand. She was back to normal, but how? "Erin? Can you hear me? Can you understand me?" What had just happened? Suddenly the memory of the words invaded, someone had made a wish to soulify Erin. How? Why? What would a non-magi know about all of this? Who was it? It didn't matter, Erin was back. That is all that mattered. He smiled at her, waiting for her to respond.

Elly could not stop now, she was too far gone, her eyes turned a solid white and she continued to attack, she would not stop until she reached her brother, even if she had to destroy this whole damned town! She swung the hammer again and again, forcing Koyuki back. "You. Will. Die." She increased the size of her hammer, expending more magic, there was no time to play around, Onii-san was in trouble!

Erin's eyes struggled to refocus. Where was she? All she could think of was green tea, maybe because there was a green head in front of her. "Leon-kun?" She asked, still oblivious to her surroundings. She felt her head ache. "Where are we?" She looked around, there were buildings everywhere. Just like any other part of Mitakihara would be. The past hours were a blur to her, had she become a witch? She looked at Leon, who was smiling at her, and pulled him in a tight hug. "I'm so happy you're here!" She said, loosening her hug and staring into his eyes. Their lips were only an inch apart, if she just leaned a bit more... But, should she? Would she really risk her heart breaking so soon after soulifying?

Koyuki was being serious now, she was sick of Elly and she would put an end to this. She grabbed Elly's arm, making it imoossible for her to swing the hammer. "I've told you" She said "He's fine. Now put your stupid hammer dowb-n before I decide to hurt you." Sje softly tapped Elly's gem with a finger, as a sort of warning.

Leon's vision was growing blurry and he felt warm tears trickle down his face. "You are really back..." His chest hurt with the relief, all the emotions he refused to let himself feel broke free and escaped. He didn't know how to react, she was so close, he didn't want her to leave again, he wanted her to stay with him. He didn't even realize when he leaned in and pushed his lips against hers, he was just so relieved that his body was reacting on its own.

Elly couldn't move, this hag had such insane strength, it wasn't right! Elly started yelling, primal rage filled yells. But suddenly her voice wouldn't come out anymore. Pain, such strong pain filled her body and she fell limply to the ground, she had never felt anything like that before, it was as though something was devouring her from the inside out. The anger gave way as the pain took over her body and she began to sob heavily. "Onii-san....help me....it hurts."

Suddenly Erin's pulse was racing faster than ever before, waves of strong emotion running through her whole body. He'd... he'd kissed her? That... Erin did not know what to do. She simply closed her eyes, and wrapped her arms around his neck, letting herself be taken by the strong moment. It was as if what she had wished for came true. She felt overjoyed, tears of happiness slipping down her cheeks.

Koyuki picked up a squirming Elly and laid her on Leon's bed. "I'm so sorry, but I couldn't let you kill me." She explained, sitting by her side. Leon would certainly return soon, but Erin... Koyuki didn't know. Would Erin come, too? Koyuki hoped so. It would be hard enough for her to deal with a self emotional crisis, but if Leon had one two, the whole situation would become worse. All she could do was wait. She leaned her head, supporting in on the bed. Her eyelids began ro weigh.

Leon did not want this feeling to end, it was amazing, the best feeling he ever had. He would never admit it to anyone, but this was his first kiss. After what seemed like a long moment he finally broke away, leaning his forehead against hers. "Welcome back, Erin." He said with a smile, he figured it was time he dropped the honorifics, he hoped it wasn't a cultural taboo, but then again he really didn't care at this point. "We should get back, Koyuki is probably still frantic with worry about you." He smiled and squeezed her hand. For the moment he had forgotten about the person who had saved her.

Elly was weeping about the pain, emotional and physical. She finally hear Koyuki's words, but could not really process what was going on. She wept into the pillow allowing it to console her, Onii-san would be back, he would. She would just have to trust in him. Finally sleep enveloped her as her sobbing died down.

Erin smiled warmly. "Yes, let's go." She pulled him through the streets softly, lost in thought. They had kissed, sure, but what did it mean? Did it mean Leon loved her? Because now Erin knew, she knew she loved him, but she couldn't bring herself to say it. How could such three simple words be so confusing, fear-inspiring and impossible to speak? She walked quietly, until they reached the door of Koyuki's apartment. It was open and silent. Erin quietly opened Witches Wall, peering inside.
It was thrashed. Marks of a fight could be seen everywhere, and was that Natsumi on the couch?

Leon walked silently behind Erin, Inkyu's attempts had failed, she was not a witch, he would not be corrupted either, but he would not give up on his task, he still fully intended to destroy Inkyu's home-world, perhaps that explosion would give the universe everything it needed to survive. He stopped when he noticed the destruction. "Koyuki! Elly!" He dashed into the apartment searching each room frantically until he found what he sought, Elly and Koyuki were both passed out on the bed that he used to sleep in, both looked exhausted and had tears in their eyes. Leon took a deep breath and walked in. He knelt down next to the bed and placed a hand on each of them. "Wake up, ladies. I'm back, and I've brought a surprise."
