Why would you like to become a Moderator?
It's an interesting role to me, I mean you still get to help people but also gain respect on how well you do your job. I want to be apart of this community for as long as I can and since I am of young age I can offer long term support to new people and returning members. I am on mainly at nights due to work and school but I still say active when many aren't.

What could you offer to the forum?
I could offer the best support I can give. I can also try my best to understand situations the people have.

What experience do you have?
I've been using Rpg Maker VX and other systems for almost (or was it over) a year now. I have been active in the VX section for supporting questions that needed to be answered. I also have been looking in the Screen Shot thread to understand what improvements are needed on maps and sprites. I have played some good and some underdeveloped games both from the VX and XP and try my best to learn from them.
Overall: I'm always learning from others and myself

What area would you like to mod?
The main section I would like to moderate in would be the VX section of the Game Engine Forums. I would also like to apply Halls of Critique in the Resources and Tutorials section and the Games Under Construction section (tho I think that one is not needed of anymore mods).

What are your skills?
Well... Of course Eventing. I've had made some sprites and looked at thousands of them so I got the basic knowledge to understand what works and what doesn't. I do have a good understanding in maps so I can help any beginner with mapping.

When can you moderate and what time zone are you in?
GMT -7 Mountain Time, or it's about 5:00PM right now.

Hopefully that was detailed and I wish the others luck as well.

Why would you like to become a Moderator?
I feel most of the mods already do a great job catching spam, but stopping bots sometimes takes some time. I usually see them but can't act on anything. There's also the issue of spam, which I'm good at stopping.

What could you offer to the forum.
I know how to moderate and in return, I'll be less spammy/trolly and more srs bznss. C'mon, couldn't hurt to try. *notices humongous warn list of impressive size not often seen* lolol

What experience do you have?
I have my own forum I'm admin of, and I moderated a board called Shrine of Seals some time back. The owner there will recommend me I'm sure. Do feel free to contact him.
Board: http://www.shrineofseals.net/forum/index.php
Owner of board: "Charles Perrin" / "Norodo". (Same guy, changes his name often.) http://shrineofseals.net/forum/member.php?...ile&uid=476
EDIT: Actually I'm a mod there again as a matter of fact.

What area would you like to mod?
I'm thinking either the RMXP forums, General Discussion/Serious Discussion, or Spam land. Maybe one or two of the media forums.

EDIT: Based on the forums Redd mentioned need help, I'd only be interested in general game engines. I've never used 2000/2k3 and VX isn't my thing. Also you should ask Vanit to be a mod of the 2000/2k3 forums

What are your skills?
If this is regarding game making, look no further than my sig. If this is for moderating I think I mentioned that already tongue.gif

When can you moderate and what time zone are you in?
I live on the west coast of America. So PST zone. I'm online usually nighttime then, but my nights are laaaaaattteeee

Why would you like to become a Moderator?
My life is getting back a track, and I want to be a part of this community again. I think I can give more to the site in return, and I also feel that I can help many RPG Maker users with my wide knowledge of the program, mainly RMXP.

What experience do you have?
Well, I've moderated here before, so I know the drill. I've also been using RM since I was 16, so I belive I can aid people if they need help.

What area would you like to mod?
The RMXP ares, or maybe the Creative Commons section.

What are your skills?
The Basics of the program, and also Mapping. I also know the basics of spriting and eventing.

When can you moderate and what time zone are you in?

I live in Sweden, so Im almost have the same time zone as Kaz and Holder. So I can moderate when the americans are slepping^^.

Why would you like to become a Moderator?

I've been here since 2010 now and I have really enjoyed the opertunity to be a member of the review staff, but I would love the chance to be able to become more intergrated into the community and help keep the site clear from spammers/bots etc.

What could you offer to the forum
I can offer my time, I like to think of myself as a patient and kind person, I always have my eye on the forums even when I don't post. I would be able to keep a very close eye on the section I am moderating. I always have internet access through out the day, so can access RRR all the time. I would do everything I can to ensure that all members can enjoy their time here, and be there to help anyone, no matter what they need smile.gif

I like to think that I am a very approachable, but would also make sure that the rules are kept, and be able to clear up an confusions with the rules. My mail client is always open and am always on the look out for updates from here smile.gif

What area would you like to mod? (we can't guarantee where you might be assigned to, but it helps us get a measure of what you are interested in).

I would be most interested in Moderating the Resources and Tutorials section of the site, also if at any point it comes available I would love to help with the VX Sections and also the GUC forums too.
Out of the ones that Redd has mentioned I would definitely be interested in helping out with the RPG Maker VX section of the forum and also the General Game Engines, as I have used other Game Makers inc GM7, Scierra Construct and others.

What are your skills?

I am a confident Parallax mapper for VX, (as my tutorials have shown) and also a confident eventer and writer. I have a single project that is in development, which is looking to break some boundaries of VX. I am also learning RGSS2 and also spriting too,

When can you moderate and what time zone are you in?
My time zone is GMT, so currently as I am writing this it is 10am. I would be online most of the time after 2pm GMT, from then until around 12am GMT in the weekdays, and all the time at the weekend smile.gif

Good luck to everyone else applying

As a little, reference guide sort of, here are the sections where we currently need moderators, although you can apply for something else if you really think you've got a chance at it smile.gif :
RPG Maker VX
RPG Maker 2000 / 2003
General Game Engines Discussion

kaz, if you think there's anything else we need feel free to put it in, I just threw in the ones that I knew we probably needed.

There could be others- we are waiting to see what people are interested in first.

There is some leeway.

Why would you like to become a Moderator?

I am constantly noticing little things that i would like to see bettered for a user, coming from a user/gamers perspective while considering the effort, time, and work moderators put into this site as well as all site on the internet.
I like to consider my self as a idealist and realist based on practicality and a positive outcome in all situations. I find myself checking in on the site multiple times a day and spending hours posting about my thoughts and ideas about the reviews and the games involved as well as browsing almost every script (i have seen atleast 90% of them from RRR), ideas, requests and the feedback for those requests to see how they turned out, i love to find people who need help and direct them to help and every day i find myself checking the introduction section just to say hi to the new users as well as sending them friend requests and emails always saying if they need help please ask me and to enjoy their visit here at RRR, i like to help those who need it here and when i can't i enjoy even more finding the help they need.. I'm a stay at home father so i practicly live at the computer 7 days a with atleast 3-4 hours a day free time on the pc, been with RRR for 2 years now as well.

What area would you like to mod? (we can't guarantee where you might be assigned to, but it helps us get a measure of what you are interested in).

I catch numerous problems with reviews submitted by users that aren't really sufficable even by the rules and regulations being let go or going unnoticed and constantly wish i could do something. Anything related to XP would be nice though i see what was said, anything i guess. I still have knowledge of all RM engines including some knowledge with the old fighter makers

What are your skills?

I can do everything in rpgmaker virtually EXCEPT scripting and i can still edit scripts here and there. I've been experimenting and using the different rpg maker engines since rm95 was out for me thats 12 years, i recently (in the last 4 years) came to like rmxp and have really become a master mind at this specific system, ive been spriting since the days gif'ing was popular (also about 12 years) and have beta tested numerous games for a different caliber of social rings as well as games from my days like diablo, counterstrike, starcraft, and even today i find myself downloading a random game or two just to gametest as well as PSN Beta testing online games. overall with games in general i have been into the gaming world for 20 years now.

When can you moderate and what time zone are you in?
Central TimeZone: As i'm typing these very words it's 10:58 p.m at my house and 7:30 on the bottom of this site.
like i said im on my pc 7 days a week virtually all day with atleast a solid 3-4 hours a day to the pc exclusively for all my game creation/RRR societal needs. i could probably guarantee my evenings better than anything (mornings i devote to child and wifes at college so im busy with home) i still find free time in mornings though.

EDIT:The only condition i even have with submiting is, every 6-8 weeks i spend about 4 days going through a series of sickness and recovery, i have a newfound genetic syndrome called cycling vomiting syndrome which causes my body to react in a way not to far from having the flu for 1-4 days, i literally don't move unless to vomit...other than that (and trust me i'm no happy camper bout it) i'm good for this!

Why would you like to become a Moderator?

I've been here since early 2006 and have over time to really enjoy the community and make a few friends on the side. I have been noticing things around the forum that could be corrected especially in the game engine boards where there seems to be a bit of spam or useless posts from other members or rants.

What experience do you have?

I have run successful sites in the past and have pretty good management skills both on the web and off. I've also worked in the back end of various web hosting companies and know the ins and outs of moderating clients and looks for suspicious items or suspicious activity.

What are your skills?

I'm pretty experienced with RPG Maker and have recently been programming menus and battle systems in RGSS not for an actual game but just to mess with ruby. I also have plenty of programming skills in various languages like, C++, C#, Java, Javascript, D, F#, C, Python, Pearl, and yes Ruby. I've also been making and playing games for over 20 years.

When can you moderate and what time zone are you in?
RPG Maker Xp/VX or the General Game engines area.

I'm in central time(US/Canada) and am on pretty frequent throughout the day and on mostly at night.

Why would you like to become a Moderator?

I may not have very many reasons to apply as a moderator, but I think my reasons are good enough. One reason for this is the fact that I would really like the experience of being a forum staff member. I would also like to help keep spam and flamming off of the forums. I've already had trouble with those issues on every forum I use, and it really annoys me.

What experience do you have?

I'm good at talking to people, explaining things, and solving problems.

What area would you like to mod?

I don't mind where I mod, but I would prefer Development or Resources (mainly Dev)

What are your skills?

I'm a good eventer, and make really good resources, but I don't think that's what your talking about so here we go. I'm a freindly person, but I can also be really serious, mature, and if I have too, I (how do I put this) won't be quite as nice. I hope you understand. I'm basicly saying I can turn my professionalism on and off. I won't let my personal feelings get in the way of me deciding on how or if a member should be warned. I know a mod that has done that (to me, actually). I'm also very helpful, so if a member has a problem, I can will help them.

When can you moderate and what time zone are you in?

I have school from 8 AM and it ends at about 2:30 PM. My time zone is Eastern Time (US & Canada)

Why would you like to become a Moderator?
To help out the community and help the forum to be better than ever. I am friendly and I get along well with others.

What could you offer to the forum- I always say there is more to being a Mod than moderating. We expect you to come up with ideas, implement them and generally make the forum an interesting place!
I have a multi-site Title shop and several different types of artistical skills. I am good at many diffent parts of RPG Maker process.
I also have a lot of real world experience.
I am good at solving other peoples problems. If I don't know the answer I know where to look for the answers.

What experience do you have?
I started out using RPG Maker 1 for PS1 and then moved on to RPG Maker 2 for PS2 and my little brother says I am the master of it and can do things with it most people can't. Then, I discovered RPG Maker Xp and messed with it for a year or so but never really got big in pc RPG Making until I found VX. I am a big fan of VX and made a few "dummy" personal projects and began my first major (To be released publicly game) and now I am getting into VX online system, Where I feel there is a big void of help in the community here and other places. I have been keeping my game ideas for years and really affectionate about Chrono Trigger (love that game). I wish Enterbrain would make a RPG maker 2 for PC also because the 3d is so nice, but the limits on PS2 kill it.
I have had my own forum and am a member of several forums. I have always strived to be a productive member of the community

What area would you like to mod? (we can't guarantee where you might be assigned to, but it helps us get a measure of what you are interested in).
I use RPG Maker VX the most, Entertianment , fun and games, and R3M magazine are areas I would prefer to mod but I will help but wherever you need.

What are your skills?
I can do most anything with RPG maker VX except code or script. I can mod scripts a little, but I prefer not too. I have a specialty in making Title screens and love making crazy maps and events. I am very artistic and I have a lot of helpful programs on my computer too

When can you moderate and what time zone are you in?

Early morning, late evenings on weekdays and weekends. Central Time Zone USA

Hope I make the grade
-Shin

Why would you like to become a Moderator?- I wish to help the forum. After all my time here, I've grown to love this forum...so much so that I don't think I'll ever really leave it. Even if Im gone for a bit, I always come back. It's great to see all the new members, and I want to be here to help them, and the forum itself out, in whatever I do.

What could you offer to the forum-Im...fairly decent at rpg maker, so i could probably answer any questions anyone has. And Im familiar with the rules here as well, so I could straighten out people as well.

What experience do you have?- I've admin'd several forums, and run several game servers. I rairly get complaintys about me, even from people I ban.

What area would you like to mod? (we can't guarantee where you might be assigned to, but it helps us get a measure of what you are interested in.- Any are I can be used in would be nice. im not picky really.

What are your skills?- Im fairly decent at rpg maker. I...know small bits of coding, but not enough to write it. I can use html and bb code pretty well as well.

When can you moderate and what time zone are you in?-I can moderate anywhere from 3 pm- 11 pm on week days...unless I get a job. I live in the central time zone in the us as well.

To be completely honest....Im also hoping that having even the smallest of responsibilities will keep me coming back here...I really do love this forum, and I feel bad for abandoning it so often.

A challenge for all of you that applied-

Let me know by pm - what extra things you could bring to the forum.

( we all know about keeping the peace - keeping spam down and the obvious moderators duties so tell me how you would help the RRR community).
