In my opinion the biggest problem with the combat is that the players can't visually see the state of their enemy since no damage pops up nor enemy pain&blood is shown.
If a new player just skips the explanation or doesn't full understands it he won't notice if he's doing a bad thing until it's too late.

Vexus, this was a font problem! You need to copy Viner Hand ITC font in your system font folder and damage will magically appear It's located into Font folder, but the font installer can't install it (it's a Open Type, the script works only for True Types...) It should be put into the c:/Windows/Fonts folder manually.
However, I posted a complete fighting guide just above this post, just below the download link. Jens

Heya Jens, The reason I asked about your graphic hunt in my game's thread, is because as was mentioned before, I noticed some of the tiles don't mesh as well as others. I know you've mentioned it's because you aren't a spriter and are working with what you have already.
So here's the true intention behind me asking, is there a particular tileset you are lacking?
I'm in the mood to make/frakensprite another tileset and while I WAS going to do something in the vein of steampunk, your game has caught my interest and I'd much rather do something that could help.

Well, to be honest, at the moment I'm lacking four tilesets [in order of priority]:
- a futuristic, neon enlighted city tileset for St. Patrick richer districts. KN-B tilesets are great, but mainly represents ruined maps or underground/ghetto districts; - a warehouse district, full of warehouses and containers, cranes, stuff like this; - a today-city, since I have to build Old St. Patrick ruins and have no modern/today tileset. - a factory district, since I haven't any sort of tile which can resemble a factory.
I really like KN-B style, but there aren't many tileset like these around the web...
It would be great to have such help... I can provide script support in exchange.
Jens

Looking nice ^_~
I'm still adding things to the tileset, just because it's a fun project. I noticed that the train station is in District 2 from earlier screenshots; so I decided to add a little more to the tileset. Here's a quick example of how it can be used to make a train station.
I may be able to also do some more destroyed looking things for the Old St. Patrick Ruins, and add it to the already existing tileset. But I might be busy over the next couple of days so I won't get it to you as fast as before.

@Feoden: It's just a demo image, I still have to build District 2 - West station, but with this tileset I have high chance to make it resembles the one you appreciated. Finally St. Patrick can be brought to life, thanks to Sakura Phoenix help

There are both of them in every map:
> a faded black circle spot which is over the whole map; > a screen tone which vary from Dark to Light (four gradations) - according to the environment:
Darkness; Shadow; Low Lights; Powerful Lights;
Honestly, I can't remember the values I set ATM, but Powerful Lights should be (0,0,0,0) and Darkness something like (-192,-192,-192,0)
What kind of fog did you intend, however?
