Eh, I think they kind of dropped the whole "gotta catch 'em all" lingo since Ruby/Sapphire. I don't really care about catching them all myself, and the good thing about the games is that they are relatively open-ended, in which you can play the game in any way you want.

That trailer was awesome. If I've learned anything from Pokemon though, its that you can only walk on ice in one direction. He musta been holding some sweet cheat codes.
I take it N's back then? Probly not as the antagonist, most likely as a Cynthia(?) type character. Shame, he actually made a real compelling 'villain'.

You said it! The only thing Pokemon about that video was the dudes hat!!! if they just called it something else It would seem like a cool game video. But maybe they think its time to go into a REALLY different direction with there games so ehh

...Thats not game footage its just a teaser trailer. Sure it just seems like a bunch of unassociated clips to us but if we spoke the language it would have probably done significantly more (character introductions and relationships, the areas to visit, a taster of the story, that sorta stuff). Bearing in mind the trailer is also geared at kids, who want something flashy (and really, would anyone want to watch a trailer of actual game footage of Pokemon?). I don't get what you mean by a new direction, the gameplay will be another repeat and if you mean the trailer itself you must realise they've done like 700 episodes of Pokemon just like that right?

The episodes, the games, not one time did I ever take them seriously, cause they just were not SERIOUS, little boys and girls playing around with talking stuffed animal toys instead of going to school or working for a living is just not serious so when I see this NEW video it just looks stupid. Yeah im sure kids are stupid and eat this flashy $%^* up but I sure as hell dont and im the one with the job and money to actually buy it.

I kind of like the vid on the basis that it reminds me of my childhood where I would love to own a pet that was a biological weapon of mass destruction. I honestly like the direction B2 and W2 are taking. They could have simply reiterated B/W with a few extra features like they did in the previous gens, but instead, Gamefreak is actually introducing a new story, and even bringing back some older pokemon as a part of it's national dex (in the first set of games, the national dex consisted of only the latest pokemon designs). I say, once I get income, I'd definitely put this on my list of games to buy.
