Eden's soul rejoiced, the dog was not a coward, this would be an interesting fight. Taking a few steps back, he pulled Aldous in towards himself, preparing to dash his opponents blocking with an attack strong enough to rend them asunder. Without another moments hesitation he charged, bringing his sword down viciously, and lightly cutting the man down his chest. A taster of events to come.

((OOC: I just know I'm gonna make a mistake at some point, but here goes ))

Tom was caught slightly off-guard. He wasn't exactly a fighter, but he needed to get his head in the game. Seeing Eden's strike coming at him, he knew that he wouldn't be able to block such a strengh-orientated assault... But it was slow, he could use that. He rolled to the right, dodging it within an inch of his life, Slugger at the ready to react to whatever Eden did next. Fighting off a sword with two oversized gauntlets would be tricky, but if Tom could pull it off, it'd say a lot about his ability.

Watched as Nyo'Sen started prancing around her, Egill's blade retracted, her expression remained the same, however, until he called her shabby, her brow twitched a bit as she frowned and stared back furiously at Nyo'Sen. "I'm...Shabby? Really? You're the one out for wanting to murder me and i'm the one that's shabby? Geez...You're nonsensical." She said as she waved her hand at him dismissively, she then turned slightly to the fight that was currently breaking out. Taking another sip of the lemonade she still held in her hand. "Gee, we have barely arrived at the resort yet and everyone is already at each other's throats. Why do I get the feeling not even the top tier resources of the resort will be able to make this stay even slightly peaceful..." She sighed, scratching the back of her head while she sipped the lemonade again.

Eden scowled. Sure he'd landed the first hit, but his opponent had got away before a fatal blow could be dealt. Still, the game was young, and there was no use rushing into thing. As Tom dodged, Eden assumed a defensive position, attempting to block any potential attacks.

Tom stood where he had dodged to. They were at a standstill, silent for a moment, until Tom dashed at Eden, flinging his body recklessly into Eden, tackling him violently. He took a few small steps back at that point, and got ready for whatever Eden threw at him.

Eden stumbled forwards from the tackle wasting no time at all gaining his footing. Brandishing Aldous with a whirlwind of vigor, he charged forward, swinging his Telum here and there as quickly as he could. The first hit connected, followed by a parry, then another hit. The fourth hit, unfortunately for Eden, was well blocked - and Eden injured himself in the process. He lowered his sword slightly while he caught his breath.
"I'll admit it, your not quite the animal I had you pinned for." Eden provoked, "But there's still no way you can win this fight."

[OoC I think a little conversation, deeper descriptions etc, could make this work. You can do what you like in the post, so long as it's physically possible for the next person to attack. If you want to jump up onto the rail of the ship, or swing round a pole, or bounce off of a sun bed into a falling attack - you can, but you can't change how the damage system itself works ]

Tom swore under his breath as the attacks hit home successfully, but he wouldn't let it stop him entirely.
"C'mon dumbass, this guy's beating the hell outta ya'! Enough small jabs here and there, hit him hard! Deal some major damage and stop bein' such a wuss! Because if ya' don't, believe me... He can't kill ya', but I will!"
"Right, right..." As Eden's last strike hit Tom's block, the idea came to him. As Eden recoiled from his failure, Tom grinned, and span around his blade, driving Slugger right into the boy's ribs in a quick-thinking counter attack.
"Zis imbecile makes me, how you say... Sick. I vould very much like zu be ze vun in zis battle, instead of zat brute Slugger. Still... Just get rid of zis Eden character in my name, mmkay Slugger?"
"Cut the sh*t, Guile."
"Damnit I knew you two wouldn't stay on the same page for long..."

Eden recoiled, surprised by the counter attack. He'd underestimated his opponent and it could cost him dearly. In an attempt to regain control of the situation, he tackled Tom onto the floor.

((OOC: @_@ Yeah, I meant it as a counter. Sorry about the PM, they usually pop-up on screen but it didn't for some reason.))

Tom swore as Eden struck him to the ground. He rolled back to reduce impact against the ground, but he was winded nonetheless
"Well... That worked." He said to himself.
"Hey schizo, stop talking to yourself and get fightin'." Tom followed Slugger's advise, hopping to his feet. He Lunged at Eden with Slugger with a quick flurry of attacks while Eden was recovering from his own tackle.

[OoC Quite alright, I've fixed my post If we'd stuck at 5 we could of had a lovely draw, ah well, It hurts me too Trick ]

Eden tried his best to block the quick attack, but it proved futile. They were on even terms, this was gonna be close. Just as he was tiring, he spotted an exposed area in Tom's attack and went in for the figurative kill. Parrying Tom's last attack, Eden span around, using the wall behind him to steady himself, before pulling forwards and countering. Aldous dug deep into Tom, who fell down in pain. It was all but clear that he'd had enough.

Eden walked away, sheathing his blade and reapplying his smug attitude.
"Well it was an excellent fight, you're not quite the dog I had you taken for." he boasted, "I'll let you choose the Telum you lose. Those are the rules, after all." he seemed the opposite of upset about the fact. "Let this serve as a lesson for the rest of you, Eden Woods will take this island, and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it."
He grabbed his suitcase again, and approached Tom to accept his reward, trying to ignore the sweat dripping down his head.

[OoC I think that was a brilliant display of the battle system, better luck next time ]

Tom swore quietyly. He got to his feet, looking at his hands as if to suggest Slugger. Slugger said nothing, but seemed nervous (in a telepathic way, at least). It was as though he desperately didn't want to leave Tom's side, which was most perculiar considering the relationship the two had held to that point. As for Guile... Well, he had led to some interesting situations, in the past. That left Joutei, whose beliefs and personality adapted to her holder. She was Tom's original Telum, but... She had to go. Slugger and Guile were both used by Tom on a regular basis, namely during practice, while Joutei hadn't been used since he won Slugger.

"Here." Tom said, handing Eden the wrist-based dagger. He began to walk away, saying no more. But inside, he knew he had to win back Joutei; for doing so would grant him a LOT of insight into Eden's mindset. Unfortunately for now, that feat worked in Eden's favour.

"Jolly good." Eden shouted cynically, asserting himself again as self-proclaimed king. He toyed with the new Telum for a moment before putting it in his suitcase. He didn't say a word to it. He knew the next battle he came to would bet it, and he had no intention of growing attached. Once another Telum was gained the situation may change. With the battle won, Eden left to gather himself a drink. He spotted a woman drinking lemonade and approached her.
"Terribly sorry to interrupt you ma'am" he said politely, "Could you point me in the direction of the bar?"

Kayria had been watching the fight unfold and occasionally sipping her lemonade, pretty much erasing from her mind that just a moment ago she was victim of a murder of attempt. As Eden approached her she flashed a smile at him and clapped lightly, holding her lemonade at the edge of her hand. "I have to admit, quite a fight you put up in there, Mr. Woods." She chuckled some before sipping the lemonade again and then responding. "Certainly, they have bartenders around for you to call, if you so desire, but regardless, I believe the bar is in the lower levels of this ship. I am not sure of where it is myself, I may accompany though, if you don't mind."

Kayria forced a smile once more, despite the annoying behaviour, this Eden Woods fellow would no doubt prove to be an useful ally...And meat shield...Should the need arise. He'd be an obstacle, regardless and would have to be dealt with, eventually. "Well?" She questioned as her blue eyes stared at the man in front of her.

Nyo'Sen stood there quietly watching both Eden and Kayria. His thirst to kill Kayria, despite being eliminated from the tournament, grew as Eden approached the girl. He ran his tongue across his lips under his mask. His boiling eyes following the trace of their lips. The sunlight bounced off of his claw like the sun hitting the side of a steel sheet. He grew a little impatient. He began to pace left to right a few yards away from Kayria and Eden. He couldn't help but think about their affiliations.

Eden smiled pridefully. The only thing he enjoyed more than a victory was being congratulated on that victory, especially by present company.
"It'd be a pleasure" he answered, "There are few greater luxuries in life than company with cool drinks." It was just then he noticed the odd man wearing a mask not far from them, pacing about like a caged animal. He seemed to be watching them. "What a tetchy fellow! I wonder what's got him so riled." he said just loud enough to be heard, "Never mind. Lead the way miss...?" he suggested for her name.

Before he heard Eden shout out loud, Nyo'Sen had a quick flashback when he was just 12 years old as a member of the Abbokei. Standing in a dark, abandoned tunnel, was an Abbokei assassin and a Yakuza agent. Nyo'Sen sat in the shadows as hiis brethren began business.

"Do you have the money?" the Abbokei assassin said in a cold tone. The Yakuza agent brought a medium-sized briefcase infront of him and sat it infront of the assassin's feet. "It's all there. Do you have what we came for?" the agent replied. The assassin then placed a small duffle bag infront of the agent. "Indeed." Both men never took their eyes off of one another. Nyo'Sen studied the Yakuza agent carefully.

"Good." said the agent. "Then we will be off. However, one more thing before we depart." The assassin raised his eyebrow, unaware of any more business the Yakuza had to offer. "And that is?" the assassin questioned.
Suddenly, Nyo'Sen heard a gun cock back near his temple. He turned slightly, and saw another Yakuza agent pointing a gun directly at him while eyeing the Abbokei. The assassin heard it too and turned toward Nyo'Sen. The Abbokei's eyes burned through his mask and almost lashed out on the treachery. He turned back to the man he exchanged cases with.

"This is how it is? Such foolishness!" the assassin said. The agent replied with, "The Yakuza are beginning to find you Abbokei annoying. Our business runs are often under-rated, thanks to your business. We can't afford for that to happen. You die here!" hollered the agent.

The assassin had the intent to dodge, but was overwhelmed by gunfire. The assassin was hit in his chest, thighs and his shoulder blade. He fell to death instantly. Nyo'Sen was in shock at that moment. It was the first time he'd ever seen someone get killed. He trembled in fear, thinking they would kill him too. The Yakuza agents looked at him and laughed as they took both cases of money and disappeared in the distance. Nyo'Sen couldn't move...

After the flashback, Nyo'Sen eyes trailed at Eden as he spoke out loud. Nyo'Sen stopped in his position. If this guy befriends the Yakuza girl, then he will have no choice but to take his life as well. He rolled his eyes under his mask. His veins raging. His temperature risen. His muscled intensified. He decided to approach Eden. His claw held close to his chest and then pointed it at the man.

"You fought well against that guy. But I believe your little break is over. Me and you. Now!"

(Eh, I issued a fight just to get some more practice with the system if thats ok with Eden that is.)

"Ah-hem!" coughed Tezuka as he walked over to the fuming Nyo'Sen. "I believe I was next in line. So wait for your chance like the rest of us unless..." Tezuka trailed off having noticed the lady engaged in conversation with Eden. "All of us are up for a 2v2?"

[Nicsp]

Kayria chuckled some as she stared at everyone already all at each other throat's again. "Oh gee, you people are so jumpy aren't you?" She turned to look at Eden and then back at the two. "Well...Eden here just came out of a fight, as amazing as he claims to be I think two fights in a row are a bit too much..." She shrugged, smiling a bit. "I'd be more than glad to participate in a fight with any of you, though." She said, smiling and putting her hands behind her head as she chuckled some. "Kay-sama, are you sure that's wise...We have barely gotten to the island yet...And we should save ourselves for Satos-" I know what i'm doing, Leviathan. "Very well."

Kayria smiled some more with her eyes closed. "So..." She said as she then slowly opened her eyes. "Who's first?"

[Ryuga]

"Come on Tezuka!" Raja demanded clearly getting worked up over the mere potential challenge. "Let's put this cocky **** in her place."
Unlike his Talum, however, didn't take the bait.
"No offense miss, but I'm not interested in you at the moment. Besides, this isn't about what's best for him. It's all about winning. And If he can't take two fights in a row, he doesn't belong in this tournament." Tezuka paused for effect, and also to listen to the satisfying sounds of Raja agonizing over everything.
"So Mr. Woods," Tezuka continued turning to the man. "You can keep getting pestered by us. Or you can end it all right now in one match."

[Sparrowsmith]

Eden stretched his arm behind his head, thoughtfully considering his options.
"Two on two, eh?" he looked over to the woman he'd just met, "I'm not one to be called a coward, and that first lout only got me warmed up. I'm game if you are." Eden was overestimating himself, he strongly doubted he could win this fight, but he had to try. Unsheathing Rapture, he approached his aggressors. "Aldous is my dueling Telum. This one, Rapture, is for war."

[OoC We never really worked out ground rules for Team battles. I think we should go round in a four. Player1A Player2A Player1B Player2B and repeat. Each one targets one person, and we'll keep a walking guide of DAMAGE like the following:

Kayria [1]
Nyo'Sen [2]

Unless anyone has a better way to do it?]
