The 12th of January 2007, Edinburgh, Balmoral Hotel, Room 652 1:27 AM
"J. K. Rowling finished writing Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in this room (652) on 11 January 2007". This is the message that stood on the Hermes bust, written with a marker. What, however, isn't on the bust is that that very night, at around half past one, a group of children snook into the room through the window, in a well-planned attempt to acquire the completed piece of work.
How did they come to attempt such a crime?
The answer, as always, is almost painfully simple. They were students from all around the world, with one common trait: their proficiency in english as a foreign language. They were on an organized 3-month excursion to Great Britain. That alone, however wasn't enough motivation for such an act.
In the group, there was a girl named Esha. She was from India and suffered from severe leukaemia due to a miscalculated chemotherapy years ago. It was unlikely she would live for another year if she didn't receive stem cell transplant. As queues in India usually last for years, if not decades, the only solution remained a treatment bordering on the thin line between grey and black - denucleotysed embryonal stem cell treatment. As this treatment wasn't available on the legal side, and otherwise it was hellishly expensive, a group of children on the excursion decided to somehow gather the money required to afford the treatment in one of the numerous shady hospitals of the semi-developed world.
It was then that they had an idea - mental to say at the least - that the world-famous Harry Potter book series' closing chapter, the Deathly Hallows, was mere miles away from them. It would be so easy to just break in Rowling's house and steal it. And it would fetch millions on the black market!
The plan was to be set into motion when the book was finished in January. Rowling's visit to Edinburgh luckily coincided with the group's visit. If anything, it was their chance. Under the leadership of Marco, they sabotaged the electricity and climbed up on the side of the Balmoral hotel, using the darkness of the night as a disguise.
The strange events began when they got hands on the author's laptop. She woke up, and definitely wasn't happy about the case. But, instead of calling the police and security, she began mumbling in a strange language, while a ghost-like creature - one like the genies from arabian nights - appeared, and along with Rowling, cast a spell on the burglarious children. They lost consciousness, and when they came to...
They were in a room in the Leaky Cauldron, the inn for wizards in London, overlooking the avenue of wizardry, Diagon Alley.
Thrust into the wizarding world as Hogwarts students in 2024, what awaits these now-wizards-and-witches as they struggle to uncover the true intentions of the world-renowned author J.K.Rowling and the odd parallels between the wizarding world and that of their own.
Name: Obvious Age: Between 14 and 18 Homeland: Any non-english speaking country minus India and Croatia. Only one per country! Appearance: Personality: Backstory: Specialization: Up to 3 areas of magic. Such as potions, herbology, transfiguration, charms, astrology, defence against dark arts, dark magic, etc. Wand: Pet: May have one! Hogwarts house: Griffindor/Hufflepuff/Ravenclaw/Slytherin. Try to pick one that's appropriate for your character.
RULES: - Results of player-vs-player duels (should it come to that) should be decided in PM. - Duels versus NPCs can be won, except when I tell in PM that said NPC can't be defeated. - House points will be awarded to (or deducted from) your house, based on your actions. - You should not cast spells your character has no reason to know. Such as a fourth-year using an unforgivable curse (not that a seventh-year should), sectumsempra (as no one read the book of the half-blood prince), etc. For a list of spells in the HP universe, visit: http://harrypotter.wikia.com/wiki/List_of_spells
Marco Loncar: He's the 17-year old leader of the burglar-group, originating from Croatia. He's an altruistic, though reserved young man with an unbreakable willpower. He seems to have a heavy crush on Esha. He vanishes as the group is transported to Diagon Alley.
Esha Narang: The indian member of the excursion group, a frail 15-year old girl. A sweet, demure and kind young woman, she's able to have a strong influence on boys around her. In the wizarding world, her disease disappears and she becomes a much more upbeat, cheerful and outgoing person, though still retaining her naivety. And how exactly did she end up in the wizarding world when she wasn't even in the burglarious group?
Joanne Kathleen Rowling: The world-famous writer of the Harry Potter books and seemingly a witch. She seemed to be a kind and motherly person, why then would she banish the group to her magical world?
Ramsha: Rowling's genie, a millennia-old spirit fiercely devoted to his mistress. He might be the source of Rowling's magic power.
Maurizio Vito Gianchetti: An italian man in charge of the guarding of the Deathly Hallows books. He's a sarcastic, cynical kludge who does everything to get the job done, truly genius moments mixed with extremely failproof blunders. At least half on the £10 million spent on the Deathly Hallows Spoiler Embargo was taken by his mistakes.
Oliver Adkins, Chloe Ryers, Rebecca North / Dylan Hepburn, Daisy Cooper, Emily Varley The first three are the teachers accompanying the excursion students, while the last three are Hogwarts teachers, bearing an unsettling resemblance to them. Dylan Hepburn teaches potions, Daisy Cooper is headmistress of Hogwarts, and Emily Varley teaches transfiguration.
Other characters from the HP universe may appear.

Well it's interesting, but I don't have time to make a sign-up right now. Maybe if a few others get on board Also, since all the characters are from the same group you should probably encourage people to make back stories with one another (example, do x and y get along? p and x have similar interests, etc).
Warning!this post may contain sarcasm, please re-read it in a funny voice The old spoiler was out of control, it had to be stopped.
