Actually, I did base the hair off of that. But they are completely different -- same style, different way of spriting it. I made a request thread a few months/weeks ago about it, but decided to learn spriting instead.
If you look at the main page in the spoiler you can see it ^,^
By chance, are you still working on her neck piece and armwraps? The shading just seems a touch too dark to me, or maybe too much of the darkest shade. Unless that's what you were going for. Ignore my comment if it was

I have all the rows done for hair, I'm almost down with row 2 with all the clothes and then I go over it and apply changes
I have also noticed the shading on the neck piece...but everything I try, comes out a lot worse >.>
I thought the dark brown would fit with the golds I have, but I dunno, once I finish her in whole, I'll go over changes. She's actually supposed to be dressed like a Gypsy & Belly dancer mixed together
She was originally supposed to look like this, but all my attempts failed :C
Bahhh
Who knows, when I get better, maybe that can be done....?
Okies, finished one frame and just wanted to upload and see what you think. Pardon her baldness, figured since I'm only interested in the outfit that I wouldn't give her any hair xD
Enlarged o_O

Backsides can be very tricky, especially if you're uncertain where to put the highlights. Generally speaking, you're safe to put the highlights in the middle of the lower leg/pants. Shade it as you would normally otherwise.
Right now you have the highlights concentrated towards the outside of her legs, which is a bad idea. You lose the depth of the pants in doing so.
Also, when walking the leg forward will be darker than the other one. You'll end up with only two shades on this leg, the darkest and the second darkest. This gives the impression that the leg in front is forward compared to the other leg.
I'll link one of my own sprites as an example:
Notice the shading on her legs on the bottom row?

Just remember that as she's walking, it's the leg -closest to the viewer- that will be highlighted. When she's standing still, both legs will have similar patterns of highlighting. (depending on hair etc.)

Sorry for lateness! School has gotten in the way again.
Anyways!
Okay, so I've recently began the work on her again. Someone helped me to make her look more "girly" on the front view. This is what I got: The one on the left is one where the hips were "Carved" and the one to the right, is where the hips and below the breasts. I personally like them both, what do you guys think?
And here is the back view: Ignore the third sprite, terrible. (Her new pant color is purple, but I'm keeping it blue until I finish xD)
What do you think of the second sprite's shading? Good?
Working on Tyn now! Tyn is another character in my game. You can see/read more about him here, but here is a preview of his face! Tyn is a Dark Paladin, training under the Paladin and with Edgar.
Tyn is being built off the "bodybuilder" template, as his initial character design was 'stronger' than Edgar. lol

This was my first shot at creating his hair! This was my first shot at creating his hair! :3 I really think all the help you guys have given me improved my skill! Thank you so much guys, you are the best! I still have to edit here and there, I believe, and his hair will be a "basic down"! :33
What do you guys think? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Since Tyn shares a common class (Warrior, thief -- you know) with the other main in my game, he will be in the same armor (They are training under one teach, same attire. Think of Master Roshi with this, and that all his students dressed the same.), but different for the area he's training under.

Body still under construction. Used current as template, I will try to add the other characteristics to him xD
First row finished, the second row's hair will be harder though...
Before I move on, I need to know if the first row is any good when walking or good in graphics. If anyone could point out any flaws or anything and tell me how to fix it, I'd really appreciate it!

(I think the cape needs to be edited though, but I'd also like to know about the walking animation )
