Sector 12

Abstract:Platforming mixed with Real-time battle and Flight simulation. I hope to add a system for Love/sex as well.
Genre: science fiction
Engine: RM2k3,


Story
This game doesn't have a story yet. It'd be nice to make it non-linear. I'm too busy scripting the physics of it to care much about what the character is trying to do. The character is controlled by the player and I don't know the slightest thing about what the player wants.
I've been tossing around some ideas : #01 a pilot gets shot down in enemy territory, and returns to base on foot, when he/she gets back their body has changed into a xenomorph. #02 save a town from invading monsters. #03 meet the second member of your party. #04 aerial combat using star-ships.
In the last game the characters were all normal people that became guardians by passing tests given to them from within 3 temples, passing each test also gave them magic. I plan to forget what happened the first game because I don't like a lot of the concepts I made up. Particularly how Character 03 (used to be called Gecko) became morphed.

Some part of the universe called Sector 12

Characters

Character 01 :
Name : Enzyme
Age : 19
Gender : Male
Personality : Shocked by the gigantic events that go on around him, but some how still manages to succeed.
Biography : Extremely adaptable. An excellent team player.

Character 02 : (still working on this one)
Name : N/A (Umbra, Isotope, Gene, Lillian, Electron, Warp)
Age : 19
Gender : Female
Personality : Secretive, Powerful, and Modest. Always happy to help/show off, but will keep your ego intact.
Biography : Has been know to make difficult tasks look easy then saying she only helped a little. When things go wrong she blames only herself.

Character 03 :
Name : R.N.A.
Age : 19
Gender : Male
Personality : Was a smartass as a human being. I'm not really sure how being changed into a xenomorph will effect this yet. Doesn't give a care about your self esteem.
Biography : Used to be a human, and got changed into a xenomorph. Wants to be the best and is a good competitor for the spot. Side note : Has dark skin.

Credits
I mostly just change the RTP files. I work hard on my charasets. However, I do also use http://charas-project.net/ as a resource. (Enzyme used to look like a skateboarder with a helmet until I found a marine charset by SummondSkull).

Features
2ight now the only unique things are the Platforming and the Battle system. I may add "1337" alphabet to my game. (ex : A=4 B=3 G=6 L=1 O=0 R=2 S=8 T=7)

P.S.
All I wanted to say was, I got started working on a game again. The core of the scripting and a much of the art is complete enough to get a good start. I don't plan to work on this a lot. Just a little work here and there, every once in a while. I've got to go script the Assault Rifle codes it's more important than telling you about it.

It looks nice... I really like how your character catches himself on the edge of the cliffs.

I don't have much story either... but I'm working on it. After I got my custom battle system working... I released a demo.

The sooner you can get us playing the game... the better feedback you'll get!

The cliffs don't damage or kill you yet, I don't know how seriously I want them to hurt you. Making this game has really worn me out. It makes me miss my real life. 7he more I work on it the less I want to work on it.

Can't access the file... it is "unavailable" to me anyways..

I totally understand what you mean about missing real life.. I've been working on my project for about 5-6 months now. And I'm just now getting into the story. It took me a long time to get a working battle system here.

Basically I work on it when I have time... and when I have inspiration.

CRC failed in 7op 8cret\Music\21 Lash's Theme.mp3. The file is corrupt.
Might b tellin u that now, u alrdy know.

Missing a couple of folders, Charset and title and all that. Feels incomplete.
A couple of maps, no RTP... This it? o -o!?

Yes, that is the file. It worked on my computer with no RTP, I of course had the RTP files somewhere other than inside my game. I have no idea why the music would fail. Getting it to work on someone else's computer may take a little extra effort. It's supposed to have the Charset folder and the Title folder even though there is nothing inside the Title folder.

Inside of RM2k/3.. do you have the "Make Game Disk" function. I unfortunately don't have RMK2 RTP files anywhere.

Supposedly it will copy everything I need to run the game.

I'm looking to get the RTP files anyway...

I have a bad habit of starting new versions of my game. My game will get to a certain point of completion then I'll start over, because I wanted a cleaner version of my scripts or because I didn't like the way I made the maps.

Works perfectly and it looks very awesome as loud as the music is, I adore the way it emphasizes itself. Your spriting could use a little bit of work(character-wise). But, it is very amazing to see such great mechanics, I just love how it looks and functions. Specially the BRIDGES!

If you're looking for story lines, I recommend mine as an example of anything you want.(Mine was supposed to be sci-fi but do to limits of the maker and my spriting skills, I had to set it back a little)
