This topic doesn't meet the requirements, please would you fix this? n_n [from the rules thread]: QUOTE "Your topic should include the following things: (Some parts N/A for Non-RPG games) Game Title and Platform - What it's called and what Creation Engine it was made with. Story and or Introduction - A good summary, not revealing but general info or background. Character Details -Who's in it and a little bit about them. Screen Shots - You'd want to show what the game looks like. Features - What special systems the game has. Download - A link to a file host or RRRs main page link Credits - Who's content is in the game, remember it's not only just for in-game scripts."

Excellent game, the art gave that personal touch i like in most games, and the music choice was beautiful! loved the characters and enemies, as well as the story, pretty fun to play.

This is one that seemed to have escaped a lot of RRR viewers and never garnered much feedback beyond the initial month of the game's existence. To be fair, you almost have to be in the mood to play this game, or you might wind up like me when I first tried it out, which is to say I thought it was garbage, my eyes couldn't really get used to art style, and I quit playing after about 10 minutes in. Only some time later, after having read some of the reviews on RMN, did I decide to give this another go.
First, the game is short enough to play in a near sitting. Casual gamers can probably get through this in about an hour and a half to two hours tops, while the more hardcore gamer who loves to fight every battle, explore every nook and cranny, and visit with every NPC will probably be able to squeeze about two and a half to three hours. In other words, it's short.
As you can tell, the graphics are certainly unique. There's a certain quality to the art that can easily go unappreciated, and it takes a bit of getting used to them. Now, I'm a hardcore gamer, and I still go gaga over NES 8-bit graphics, but even this seemed a tad difficult for me to appreciate. Not that I think the graphics are any worse than what I've seen from the NES era... in fact, I think these are much better. It's that there is just so much going on, every detail, every color, that it's a bit overwhelming to try and take everything in.
However, this game is more about exploration than it is about grinding, which gives plenty of opportunity to adjust to the style. This was actually part of the game's downfall, as noted by others from the RMN site, in that the game is too easy. You can zip through it without a care in the world and have little to no problems with later enemies, to the point that most enemies will die within a few short hits, including the boss enemies.
While I would have liked a more engaging end boss to test my mettle along with some of the skills I picked up along the way, I felt the journey along the way was much more awarding than a final end boss.
