Project Gaia
Abstract: Embark on an amazing and emotional quest to find out your true identity, stop an evil force from destroying the world, learn incredible spells, and choose your fate in this outer space horror game! Genre: Sci-Fi/Horror/Fantasy Engine: RMXP
-So, for about the past week or two, I have been working on a RM XP project I call Project Gaia. I haven't posted anything of what i have been working on in this game until now. It is my first game ever, the character sprites and many of the game's beautiful event animation is of my own design. So without further ado, I introduce to you, Project Gaia!
Story
Storyline
You are a genetic experiment created by Project Gaia. You wake up cold and scared in a dark and cramped padded cell on a space cruiser/genetic laboratory. When you wake up, emergency sirens blare around you, and a chill robotic female voice calls out "Emergency. Warning. Emergency. Warning."
Suddenly, the door to your cell opens, and a guard asks you to remain calm and please allow her to escort you to the bridge of the ship. You oblige, but an earth shattering explosion rocks the ship and throws the guard into a wall, crushing her skull and killing her. A monstrous roar bellows out, and screams of dying individuals can be heard from elsewhere on the ship.
The ship is under attack, and its enemies want YOU. Your task is to escape the ship alive by warping out to a primitive planet, and throughout the game, you develop special powers like Electricity, Fire Manipulation, Magnetism, etc. and quest to find out who you really are.
Only you can self-actualize your abilities, and stop Project Gaia and the corruption within their experimentation.
Setting Dark outer space, advanced and primitive alien planets, stealthy recon missions, and more. From bustling space stations, to dark craters of the moon filled with man sized maggot alien invaders!
Characters -Experiment 626/Breanna: The main character. A human clone gifted with supernatural abilities she begins to understand over time. She escaped a genetic lab space station that was under attack by the main enemy force, and time warped to a primitive planet where she embarks on her journey.
-Commander Azazael. Her history is little known until further detailed in the storyline.
First Shot: Notice the turrets and consoles near the door? Also the red dotted pipelines are all event animations. The blue lights on the turrets all move downward and the blue light to the side of it flashes. The command consoles scroll blue lights to the right, and the pipeline's red dots move downward and loop.
Second Shot: The character animations for the guards, blue-haired woman, and Admiral are all my own. The main character was made using Loose Leaf generator. Notice the helm, a beautiful sprite i found online, and once again, many event animations including the consoles, the small green computers on the desk, the main hub with the glowing white dome on top, etc.
Third Shot: So far the only animation here is the drip IV lines. The water in the bags appear to spin around and bubble. The green computer flashes too. I'd like to animate the x-ray screen eventually.
Fourth Shot: A large screenie of some extra images. Note that armor/equipment is literally equippable and changes your character graphic.

Other Stuff Menu:
Features I think what makes this game stand out is its setting. There are hardly ANY sci-fi/horror games being made that have beautiful artwork and very engaging character development. By that I mean being able to make your character your own. All armor and equipment in game can be seen in the actual sprite animation, and based on your choices different things in game happen. Will you scour the room for supplies before squeezing through the damaged set of double doors into a dark room? Will you be forced to face a lethal enemy without first having acquired enough stimpacks and ammo? That is for you to decide, in Project Gaia.
