Hello again!

I require a little more help, but this time it's about pictures and menus!

In some games (The best examples are Visual Novels) people can unlock images *Which are usually full-screen*. When they do, the image is forever "achieved" and is somehow saved so that in the main game menu *When you first open the game* there is an extra option called "Gallery" Or something like that. When you select it, the image you "achieved" is there to view whenever you wish, though images not achieved are still "locked" or unable to be viewed.

What I was wondering is how I could possibly *If its possible at all* go about doing something like this. I have some images *As the game I'm making has separate endings* that I would like to do that with, but I cannot find a proper script *Or way to event this*. I don't really know how things like that work, though I expect when you save the game, something has to permanently turn on and a new menu option in the main game window can tell what's on and off, thus rendering the image "Achieved." I really don't know what I'm saying... (>_<)

I have found this: http://www.atelier-rgss.com/RGSS/System/VX_SYS13.html which is a script that is very close to what I want, but some things are confusing me. I'll quickly list them here:

- Cannot access from main menu, only from an event on the map with a script call.
While I could probably find a way to put that option in the main menu *most likely with fail abilities... Perhaps someone can help me with that too?*

- It seems to always need the pictures unlocked to be specified every script call, which I couldn't do unless things like conditional branches are available to the menu? *I don't know how scripts really work, only events and their easy buttons. OTL*

- For some reason, the "L" and "R" don't work when I test the game, unless I just don't have a clue how to work those...

Any help, or a substitute, or maybe some tips on how to fix these issues is really, really appreciated!

From the sound of it you have a RGSS script, which doesn't work with RPG Maker VX. It only works with RPG Maker XP. If you want a script for RPG Maker VX you'll need to look for a RGSS2 script.
