Well I haven't read past my last post yet but...

We found some weird shit in the factory, the thief had taken a drug (as described above) which caused him to 'manifest' nightmares and introduce an impossibility factor. This is an issue which will be used very scarcely throughout the RP, I just wanted to introduce it (and some other stuff) early on, because we will tackle it later... This is a pretty well mapped out story (the first half anyway) and I intend to bring lots of NPCs in that we can use, as well as some more elaborate nightmares which (I hope) will genuinely scare you.
Anyway, once we dispatched the thief, the nightmares disappeared and we got the map, but we're surrounded by other people who want the map, and we have to hold out in the factory until it's turned into dust (just a little while longer) is there anything specific you need clarifying?

Also, the thief mentioned something about having killed Graym. I could explain this in game, or just here, I'm undecided unless someone accuses me of making an 'immortal' character. I was planning on explaining it in detail, characterization and the like, but if anyone's curiosity is peaked I can explain it now. Graym, and all of Limbo, are products of a story I'm toying around with at the moment, much like Section Seven was, so it's all quite developed and interlinked, and there are rules I haven't revealed yet wink.gif However, if being kept in the dark is uncomfortable for you guys, I will gladly reveal some of the upcoming story...

Yes there are several parts to the factory, each could be called a building.
The original was "The group drew closer and closer to the factory. It eventually became apparent there was a line, a street of some kind, running down the centre of two separate buildings, each whirring away at their own pace with bridges crossing between them." but it seems to have developed into a more elaborate set up of sections within those buildings.

Also, Bill Nye, if you are reading this, how much do you have planned for this woman you have introduced? I'm perfectly happy to let you work a story alongside the main ark, in fact I encourage it, but she would also fit quite neatly with an ark I intend to cover (much) later. It's up to you happy.gif

Also, everyone, concerning the "one thing your character was told/shown upon arriving in Limbo":

I've been thinking about it, if you already have an idea i'm happy to let you take over the role of the part mechanical woman Maria.
Also, even i'm starting to get irritated at all the shit happening, Robots, Brute, Some madman (At this point, the guess is he died in the building).
Giant effing worms? I mean, damn Nicsp. Even i didn't see that coming. And now raiders, damn we got problems, lots and lots of problems.
Also, what's with the guy who posted in the RP? If i missed something please let me know.

One can cut through almost anything, the other almost always hides his eyes).

Anyway, I'm giving away far too much wink.gif However, when the time comes, you can decide whether or not maria is the result of these experiments. We've got a long way to go before then though.

Hey um.... i noticed someone else started a bit late so :// i was wondering if i could too? I kinda even have a way to excuse my lateness? <.> ^^ anyways please let me know if i can/can't join in. Here's my character:

A Name: No one knows but she has NIKKO written on her back and she seems to respond to it
A Description or Picture:

One or Two things about them: She seems to either no longer be able to speak, or just doesn't because no one can understand her, but she communicates with hand signals and, if someone just can't seem to get her fast enough, her long mechanical arms can spout a small screen that quickly translates what she's saying into the viewers language.
She has a mechanical tail known for helping her burrow deep into the sand. She carries a long sword and a strange large piece of copper with detailed curves. She also sports large mechanical animal ears on her head, her real ears seem to be gone and she can move the mechanical ones at will.

I'm perfectly fine with new people joining, just have to cover a few things first.
Only people arrive in Limbo. Anything out of the ordinary about them probably happened here, and happened in a specific way. For her to have mechanical arms they would have had to have been done to her here (then again, I've never explicitly stated WHEN characters come from, so it's possible she comes from a time when such things are possible... I never really thought about that). Anyway, I'd appreciate it if there was an explanation for her arms, general silence, strange translating spray, that was related to Limbo. For example:

You don't have to state if this is the reason she has those traits, and you don't have to use the reason I've listed above, I'm just trying to introduce some consistency to the RP before it ends up a little bit too random (then again, random is good) so long as everything has some kind of explanation, that you plan to reveal, then I give you the go ahead happy.gif

Actually I have reasons for all of those. As long as it's ok that my person is from a somewhat future/alternate world. She is human, it'd just be more like upgrades? And whether they were from before or after Limbo i will post in the Rp. Hope that's alright and thank you.

all seems fine to me. I see no reason for this afterlife (if that is what it is, spoilers and all that) to be timeline exclusive.
Anyway, I think we're just about done at the factory (this was supposed to be a quiet part of the story...) and ready to move on to the next place.

This is where you guys come in (awesome right).
Now there's only a few conditions for the next place:
1) It's short and static. That means we just pass through, we don't have to stay there very long at all (it doesn't move throughout the day).
2) It's has a path. This could mean it's a river, or lake, and we go through on a boat. Or a path through a jungle. Even a town or city (though we will be addressing a very big city pretty soon and I'd like not to repeat similar locations). It could just be a nasty part of desert, up to you guys.
3) It has to be dangerous. Graym said so. That could be nightmares, other people, a mixture of the two, high levels of improbability, dangerous environment, or any combination of these. It just has to be dangerous.
4) It can't be a supermarket, that's the next stop after this one.

So yeah, if you can come up with a location that fits these requirements, then you can run that location in the RP (temporary dungeon master cool.gif ) if I don't like any of the suggestions, then we'll run with the jungle/lake/whatever I feel like, but I would like to bring you guys in on this if possible.

One more thing, if it is nightmare infested, lets keep it to generics (seeing as I haven't introduced any others yet) unless you have an idea for something REALLY creepy. (For example, as the RP progresses we're going to tackle nightmares that represent genuine fears people have. Not of things, but of concepts.)

...Well...As soon as Sparrowsmith mentioned the idea for a river we follow on boat, I immediately though of a sort of Rivery Styx thing. Where we'd have to make our way down the river in a small steam boat, while the water we are in are filled with nightmares that are basically hands that will try to keep dragging people out of the boat. The further we go down the river, the higher the impossibilty factor becomes and then stronger the currents that take the boat become.

I had a different river senario in mind, but this sounds far better.

I'm quite fond of the suggestion too. It's similar to mine, but seems a whole lot more creepy.
If I might make a suggestion, lets discuss (at least a little) what we find BEFORE we go in there. I'd like to know if another worm is gonna come out of nowhere wink.gif

I do have an idea for these nightmares though, if anyone else likes it, and that's that some of them (or all) play off of guilt. They try to drag you in, but some of them take the voices (or faces) of our regrets. The idea that the nightmares could just be people too, quite creepy sleep.gif of course, that won't stop us, but allows for some character building. Up to you guys.

It isn't necessary for us to force our characters flaws they don't have wink.gif I feel there'd be a better dynamic if guilt ridden characters were made weaker here, maybe not suicidal, but distracted, and other characters had to pick up the slack. Then at some later point, we'll see the effects of dependance/addiction and Addo will have his chance tongue.gif

Of course, if you think of anything, use it cool.gif

I think we'll let them rest a moment. The next area is gonna be short, but they still need to lick their wounds and walk there. I think we'll do it gradually, like last time, with each of us bringing it in closer as we walk.
