If one wishes to share a project idea, and recruit a team to develop said idea, where should he go?

Sorry if it's the wrong forum, but this one seemed to be the offtopic.

We don't have a recruitment area anymore, nowadays recruitment is done inside the individual game threads.
To start one go to the area titled 'Production' and then 'Submission Forum' and then depending on the amount of progress you've made it will go into either Project Showcase, Project Demos or Complete Games. However, you must have made some progress on the idea before posting (a couple of screenshots of the game is a pre-requisite) to prevent cluttering the forums. Also it is a rarity that people will seriously consider working for you, no matter how good your idea, unless they've seen your willing to do your share, and that you are not just another upstart with a half-baked idea. No-one wants to waste their time on a dud project, just about everyone here is already working on at least one of their own.

Sounds sensible enough! I'll try to get on at least the character model and some screenshot of the world! I must say I don't know much about the RPGMakers besides 2k/2k3 and XP.

How better are VX and VX ace?

There are many that would argue that VX and VXA are not as good as 2000/2003 and XP.

There are also many, many topics regarding the differences between these engines (with arguments from all sides), but the general consensus is that you should download the trial version of each in order to decide which is better for you (everyone has their own style and preferences, so it usually comes down to you simply making that decision on your own).
We have a good deal of members who use 2000/2003 and XP (I personally prefer XP over all of the others, but that's just me).

Check out the trial versions of VX and VXA if you really want to know enough to make that kind of decision. =]

I'll try them, but I did already make a game with 2003 in the past. Well, not the complete version, since I only managed to do the demo due to the implosion of the Hellsoft community (this is basically when XP came out, and it was panned by everyone)

Well, let's see what good comes from both =)
