Also, Chapter 1 = 75% done. Sorry for the delay, I've had some setbacks and things going on. Hopefully, you can expect a demo of the first 2 chapters by early March

I'm sorry for the demo being so late, but I'm hard at work! It's coming, don't worry!

But, on a good note, the artist working on cutscenes has re-designed Scatto!

The Shop is there becuse its being run by some of the creatures living in the woods.
And yeah, I know that map seems empty, but thats before I got a mapper, I'll update the screenshots later with some of his work

Ah, the mapping looks much better and I'm looking forward to chapter one! I have to say though, those trees look really out of place with the others. Particularily their colour and contrast. Also, is that custom work with the bridge and note and stuff? It looks pretty good! Although you might want to remember that tilesets don't use a completely top down view so the bridge looks a bit flat.
Still, the composition of the map's great and I really like it despite the few glitches :)

Really looking forward to seeing the demo... and of course the completed product.
Should be able to get started again on the next Chapter Twidge... I'm back on Thursday and should be set up and ready to go on Friday 15th. Really enjoying the progression of the story so far.

Hey there, everyone! So, demo progress is still going kinda slow, what with voices and cut scene art. But it should be getting up to speed fairly soon.
To tide all you guys over, I have a new original song from the game, plus some art of a few of the enemy's.

Hey there, everyone! I really should start updating this more...
So, to make up for my lackluster of updates, here's a big one for all y'all that actually care

Unfortunately, pretty much the same... I'm really trying to make something enjoyable for you all, but it's taking way longer than I expected. But hey, better late than never, right?

The Main things that are holding me back are Maps, Art, and Voices. Hopefully things will speed up now that it's spring break and school is out

Interesting Tidbits

1. So, I'm very pleased to announce that Scatto and Peeko will be making an appearance in Orgin! Yes, cameos make everything better
Even cooler is that Alvaro Frasier will be making an appearance in Relic as well!
I wanna give props out to emmych as well for making a custom Scatto sprite for Relic If you haven't checked it out yet, go check out Orgin. Right. Now.
Seriously though, if you haven't heard of it yet, you must be living under a rock

2. Speaking or Orgin, I love the sprite stlye so much, I've decided to adapt the style into Relic as well! Anybody who wants to help with these sprites, please contact me

But Twidge, How Can I help?

Well my friend, there are many ways you can help!

-I'm always looking for extra help with Mapping! I'm a terrible mapper, so help is always a warm welcome

-Also, Spriters! It's not going to be easy converting the whole game to emmych's sprite template, so I could seriously use some help in creating these sprites.

- Lastly, Graphic Artists! I've recently adapted Zephyr's Custom Menu Script into Relic. However, I need help in customizing it to look like an old book. Check out the link here if any of y'all are interested.

Hey everyone! Sorry fo' the double post here, mods.
But I've got an announcement! With my VA's finally getting in their lines, and with only a few more enemies/puzzles to configure, I can safely say that the demo is set to be released Next Week!!

~Most likely around the middle of the week, unless something goes horribly wrong O_o

I really hope you all enjoy it I've put so much work into this, to make something enjoyable and memorable for you guys
Fair warning, Chapter 1 is mostly story driven, so there are quite a few cut scenes, but they are pretty funny

Also, for the VA version. Text gets cut off sometimes. I'm sorry for this, but I can't fix it with the voices. It works in the non-VA version, though

It's playing great so far Twidge, love the humour throughout... one question. Can you put up links for the files needed to play the game in the demo post? I'd like to get some people trying it out too but I had to do some mild searching to make sure the install ran smoothly.

Aside from a few grammatical errors, people have been giving me good feedback
For other people downloading it, they should be able to as it is. All they need to do is click on the white chess icon, and it'll work out just fine for them
