I'll be honest. The program looks really kick ass. But the price is too steep for me. Also I like to add custom content to my games and I am not good at developing in 3D programs like 3D studio max, Blender, and stuff like that. I'm a developer not an artist. lol

Awesome looking program by the way.

Oh it's only 8 Euro? That is 10 bucks USD. That is not bad. When I have the cash I'll buy it and try it. Heck, I'll even review it on my channel on Youtube. But at the moment, I am short on 10 bucks. =P

Greetings here. I downloaded the demo. It looks cool and very promising, but, sadly, the interface is still a jumble. I couldn't find the character maker at all, how to place characters on the map... I also didn't get if there's a weapon/equipment system.

ave369: you can access the character creator from the scripting system. (load_modell), also you can insert them with script. also, you can enable the item system from the scripting.

BUILD 764:
-Fixed a bug on some Intel i3/5/7 machines that caused maker3d to crash
-Fixed a bug with some S3 graphics cards that caused windows hang when starting maker
-Fixed a bug in the image loader that may caused unexpected results or crash in some cases

also, fixed crash on *some* intel hd graphics machines.

Luckily I know people on the internet who happen to be able to be bothered by me.

Off I go! Thanks for making this, sounds awesome. Few questions, no time to look at the site throroughly so I'll ask here:

1. Custom animations? Are said custom animations (if they exist) made in-engine like other things?

2. Custom models? Same as the above.

3. What platforms can the games run on? I'm assuming all of them but I only saw Linux mentioned.

4. Are shaders and other fancy stuff possible graphically?

5. What would be the learning curve for this program?

1. and 2. - yes, maker3d is compatible with the .3ds file format. you can use filename based keyframe animation.

3.windows and linux. (freebsd runtime is the next plan)

4. no, the graphics engine below maker3d cant be reached directly. shadow direction, gamma, postprocess glow/motionblur/hdr like thingie can be adjusted from script if it needed.

5.its easy to learn it, the best idea is just to experiment a few days with it. tthe editor is very simple, and scripting is self-documented. due to the feedbacks, it can be learned within a few days by checking the examples and experimenting with the script system.

BUILD 765:
-RESTART_SCRIPT was broken when a model on the script walked away in some cases
-Test map (throw) was forgot to reset the movement bits of some objects, fixed
-In the editor, the camera now can be zoomed higher.
