missing .rxproj, is there a way to recover a lost .rxproj file using game.exe Options

i made a huge game project back in 2005-2006, i recently went back to my files but the raw file or .rxproj file is missing or deleted.
is there any way to decompile or recover that .rxproj file using the game.exe or any other method possible? everything else is there except for that one file. i cannot edit my game anymore.

If you bother to look at an .rxproj file from another project, it is a simple text file (placeholder) with the following contents on one line:

RPGXP 1.02

That's it.

cool... but how can i restore my old project file from that? do I have to replace some text lines or anything?

Either copy the Game.rxproj file from another project, or create a new text file, enter the line above (or "RPGXP 1.04" if you have the new version, and name it Game.rxproj

I tried copying the game.exe from a new game project to my old one.
It Works! I got my old game project opened again. I can now continue working on it.
I'll post a demo here when I'm done.
