How would I make a script so I could "send" an actor to a text file (is there .ini support?) and then retrieve that data later? My idea is that I could make a system like a Pokewalker and have a possible "level up" system via mini games, as well as unique creatures to the separate system.

You are a scripter? if not, the only way that you can use text files is here: http://www.rpgrevolution.com/forums/index....showtopic=47545

Anyway i didnt understand the question. You want to save data and variables and switches are insufficient?

Another topic I forgot about... but to rephrase the question, I have a second game design program which I would like to use to make a system where you can level up the creatures, get items, and play mini-games. This program supports .ini files, but I could also make a password system. The question is, how.
