Hello RRR. I'm a new poster, and I know that posts like these generally get overlooked, but if you could answer some questions for me, I'd really appreciate it.

So, I'm using VX right now to make a game, and I'm really enjoying the process. But there are some things I'm not sure how to do. For starters, this game is heavily based off of Kingdom Hearts. In fact, it's basically a pseudo-sequel in which me and my nephews are the main characters. I'm making this more for them, really. So I'll just ask these general questions. If you could answer them for me or direct me to the place where they can be answered would be great. Thanks so much!


1. In the Kingdom Hearts games, whenever a Potion or item would be used by one character on another, that character would shout the name of the target character. For example, Sora, the playable character, would use a Potion directed to Donald Duck, and they'd scream the name "Donald!" I want to be able to do this for my game as well. I have four main characters, and other characters who join the game later as Party Members. How could I get the game to recognize the different targets, as well as the person shouting the command, to then have the audio play?

2. For the four main characters, how could I get a SE to play when one of them gets hurt by an attack? For example, if one of my characters were to get damaged, I'd like a "grunt" sound specific to that character be played. How could I activate this?

3. In the Kingdom Hearts games, a Potion, or any sort of healing item or spell could be used on both a dead, and alive character to heal the same amount of damage. How could I get his to work for my game? I see that the only two options I have are An Ally, and An Ally (Dead).

4. In the Kingdom Hearts games, whenever a character would die or fall into the "Incapacitated" state if you will, they would utter a shout, or some sort of exclamation. Is there a way to do play this sort of SE for every specific character once they fall into that state?

5. In the Kingdom Hearts games, whenever a character would hit some critical level of HP, they would shout some sort of phrase or exclamation. How could I get my game to play a SE specifically for a character once they hit 25% HP or lower?

That's all I can think of at the moment. I would really appreciate your help, as I'm close to finally finishing the first level, but without this it seems kind of empty. Thanks!

well i can't tell you where to get kh resources because i believe its against the rules to use copywrited resources from square-enix and such :X, however, the rest of the things your asking can be found with google alot of these would involve scripting, because in most of the newer RM engines, the battle events are super limited, so searching around alot of rm forums for scriptings involving your criteria would do you well smile.gif, hope this helps~
