I was listening to some good old game music today. I stumbled on one song that I enjoyed listening to a lot. It is called "Within the Giant," from Final Fantasy IV for SNES. I decided to give it a little polish from its original version. It is one of my favorite game songs.

Hey, that sounds pretty good. =D
I don't know what the original sounds like, but I do like what you've got here. ^^

What software did you use?

Thanks X-M-O

I am using Sonar as the sequencer and EWQLSO silver edition for most of the instruments. In addition, I am using mainly the effects such as reverbs that come with sonar.

This is pretty darn good considering some of Uematsu's compositions are tough to remake. I'm a pretty big FF4 fan myself and done very well to one of the more climactic songs. I've noticed you transposed the composition slightly from the original score meaning the pitch is lowered. In my honest opinion, I actually prefer this remake compared to the original. smile.gif

*takes out SNES and plays FF4*

@Fateliante
Thanks! I also have an ear for lower tones as well!

Are you planning on making any other remakes from FF4? Would be pretty interesting if you remade The Final Battle. wink.gif

I am actually considering some kind of a FF compilation. I need a break from composing my own music smile.gif! I have a few songs already created based on FF. I could defiantly enhance FF4 last boss song. Here is a remix I did for Final Fantasy Legend for the Gameboy. It is Creator's theme, my ultimate favorite Last Boss!
