Here's a request, though I'm already working on it for VXA
Maybe someone would be interested in writing it for VX or XP if it doesn't already exist.

Equip skill system

-each equip holds a set of skills
-when an actor equips something with skills, those skills can be used
-the actor must have the equip on in order to use the skill

-skills can be swapped between equips
-when a skill is mastered, you can take the skill and move it to another equip
-equips have a limited number of skill slots; you might not be able to put 200 skills on a single equip, for example.

Equip skills can be leveled up using exp or a custom leveling system like AP.
All weapons and armors can have skill slots.

Stronger weapons may have more slots available.

A configuration option should be available so that skill swap can only take place between equips of the same type (eg: swords with sswords, cloth armor with cloth armor). Users can choose to turn it on or off.

All equips are treated independently. Sword A #1 may have mastered all skills available, but Sword A #2 might be something you just bought from the store and so none of the skills have any exp.

Users can designate which equip will have what skills.

A single equip may potentially have 5 different skills, but that doesn't mean all of that equip will have the same skills. The skills that an equip actually has is randomly drawn from its skill pool upon initialization, so if you're lucky you might get all of them, or you might get only a couple, or even none.

I should be able to extend this system with a "equip quality" system in the sense that higher quality equips will have a higher chance of having more skills, while "common" quality equips or even low-quality equips will have lower chances.

Example: Leather Whip can provide the following skills: fire, ice, lightning

When you receive a leather whip, the equip is initialized and the equip skills are generated.

In this case, it only managed to get fire and ice.
When you buy another one, it only had fire.
then you buy another one and it had fire, ice, and lightning.

It would be nice to provide a way to "fix" the skills.
That way, you can designate events that will give you certain equips with certain skills available and doesn't depend on the random generator.
