>What you should do:

1. Enjoy your stay here :);
2. Don't worry if you need help, just ask either a Moderator or Director and they will advise you- they don't bite :D
3. Help anyone you can, if you feel you're able to;

>What you should know:

1. After having achieved a 100 posts score, you will be given the rank of Revolutionary and a personal gallery in which you can upload your graphics; You'll also be able to add a "customized title" to be displayed instead of the member level;
2. You need 100 posts in order to require a graphic resource in the Resource Forum and in the Script Requests Forum.
3. If you desire, you can also ask a Director to change your username, once you've become Revolutionary;
4. Be sure you read the Board Rules at least once!
5. RM2K3 download was disabled due to legal stuff, since the English translation was not authorized by Enterbrain;
6. Before asking for something, search the forum. Maybe you'll find exactly what you were looking for.

>Side notes:
1.While managing your own gallery, avoid using the ' in images' names to prevent your gallery from crashing and the site from producing an error message.

We have a useful F.A.Q.

Hey all!

For those who may not remember who I was in the past, I believe the moniker I used here was The Guardian (Or something along those lines. It feels like it's been ages ago). I decided to go by a new name, so here I am, The Gospel Knight.

As my name may indicate, I've since joined a church and been saved, but I will not be pushing that on anyone. However, that will impact my personality and a lot of the things I'm doing here.

For starters, I am working on a game called Prophet where you play as a Warrior Priest chosen by God to battle against a cult that is quickly on the rise. As one can expect, it will contain Biblical undertones, but it is my hopes it will end up being in a vein of a Metroidvania style, with equal emphasis on action and exploration. I am currently working on the artwork and spriting, and undoubtedly will require aid with the music, but that's more along the lines of the last step I'm waiting for, as my composing skills are...who am I kidding, I have no composing skills, lol.

Anyway, good to be back, and happy gaming!

Glad to have a returning member! I think there is nothing wrong with religious themed games, if it is your own faith or not. I personally have an old project of mine, called Revelations. It is, as you would guess, a biblical themed game. I sadly lost the project a while back, but I may revive it in the future.

As far as finding a composer, I can recommend no one more than Jonnie19. We have a lot of composers here, all good, but I really value his work, and have personally worked with him.

Anyway, welcome (back) to RRR! The pie is on the left and the punch is a lie.

Thanks. I'll try to remember their name when I get to that stage. The stage I'm on right now is finalizing the main characters design and finishing his sprites. I have a rough idea, but getting the costume to fit with the spriting style is hard. I would prefer a larger more detailed sprite, but I am not at that spriting level, so I am sticking with the more recent CV style. Though, to work on my lack of spriting talent, I may try a couple smaller games first to practive and see where it goes from there. Thanks for the welcome!

Welcome back to RRR Gospel Knight, It's brilliant that your game is something slightly more original and is based on faith, which can really create a more powerful game, as it is something close to your heart.
With regards to support for your game, look around the site, you'll find a wealth of tutorials if you are struggling with a certain aspect of your game.

(...also you can find my music thread somewhere around here...)

Thanks for the welcome!

I'll look around for your thread and give some of your music a listen to. And I appreciate your encouragement. Story telling has always been my skill, and I used to be pretty decent with RM2K3, but now I'm trying to broaden my Horizons to other engines for my game right now.

Welcome! I Would gladly help you with this game, I'm a christian, not so true to the path we all sin. I would recommend VX for your game, the simplicity of the newer engines is awesome.

(If you need help mapping I have a mapping shop. That has gotten really dusty. One hint on the newer versions though don't overwhelm your game with features/scripts... )

I am quite glad to find another Brother amongst the crowd! To be honest, as much as I appreciate the suggestion, the game's genre is not actually Turn-Based, but more geared towards the real-time combat/exploration of the recent Castlevania games. The only real way to do that with VX would be scripts, unfortunately. But I may take a peak at it in an effort in improve my scripting. Thank you!
