I know, I'm lazy because of the title BUT IT'S 11:06 IN MISSOURI!!!!!!! Ahem, anyway............I'm really tired of creating and importing Battle Character sprites so is there any other way to do this? (I have tried having the characters on the background, it looks shitty.) If it has to do with some Battle Eventing coding then I'm up for a challenge!!! Note: This is for RM2K3, not XP or VX.

You could always have their animations set to battle animations instead. That way you can have waaaay more frames and a lot more elbow-room. You can find the option somewhere in the database. You'll have to put the animations together yourself, but it should be worth it. I apologize if this isn't the answer you were looking for (it's 12:43 in Oregon!)

Very good way to do it! But is there some sort of coding needed for it? We're not talking like Java, or Ruby, I'm talking like simple Battle Event Coding and common events.

Not really, you just need to figure out where the options are in the menus and you need to know how to put battle animations together. If you really need a more in-depth thing of help, I might be willing to boot up my PC with 2003 on it and make a detailed guide for you.

But I suggest that you try to discover the depth of the database so that you can be more familiar with the various things that you have at your disposal to dabble with.

I'm preety much the best person to give tutorials about the Data-base. I've made so many common events I could probably make a simple Custom Battle System. I'll see what I can do, right now I'm in the process of learning things like Libra spells and how to multi-target.

I get how to do it now. I never noticed that "Battle Animation" choice when you were looking at the poses of the Battle Set. God damn I'm such a dumbass.........XD

It's okay. When I first started using 2003, I couldn't find the message thing. And for a while after, I used switches and useless unsell-able items in a lot of places where I should have used variables.

The same thing happened to me. I didn't know you could have face graphics in messages, how to set the Map BGM, how to use Variables (There your best friends for those custom shop systems), there was a limit to how much text you could put in a message (XP and VX shows an arrow to indicate the limit), and I didn't even know how to create a new character. XD
