Hmm, seems pretty natural to me. Maybe try and add some patches of grass or weeds or something poking through the stone area? The place kinda seems all ancient and long-abandoned, so it would make sense to make the place look all overgrown if that is the case.
One other thing that kinda seems 'off' is on the top right corner. You should do some shift-click with the grass tiles around the top right corner of the building so the edge doesn't seem to follow the top corners of the building.
Other than that, I really like this map. Good job!
I am trying to test my small mapping then compile it into a larger map, but still have small map object compression. This is my test mountain of a small map...thoughts? Small Version:
Pretty plain, add flowers, mountains usually have water patches, pebbles and so on.

@Zinx_therpgmaker I like it but you can put the autotile flowers there maybe for added color too but you can put other items there like rocks, flowers, logs etc.

Do you think that the below flowers would work or no?
Yeah that could work, but what I meant was the single flower tiles. Adding a few along with that auto tile should do nicely. ^^
@highlander4 Your maps look fantastic, I can't see anything wrong with it... but to me some of the cliffs look strange, but hey that's probably just me. XD

It looks pretty enough, mostly natural. The only thing I notice, is that the one chest you have on the level is not accessible, but you have a small area you can get to via stairs that has nothing on it.

Good catch. The stairs that lead to nothing is to act like a maze. Originally, you could get to the chest through pushing the log, but not anymore.

I myself would still add small things, its a little TO spacious. I would add a few more trees maybe. You dont have to make the players path obvious, they will find there way.

I agree on adding the small things to it still... You could try adding some tiles from other tilesets, just to add a little more variation. I know the restriction on the default tilesets..
In my opinion when designing maps making the path obvious is good practice, that way the player doesn't spend hours trying to find where he needs to go. Think of it as more of a "guideline"

@Zinx I would say that you need to add some form of pathway, similar to Vexus' example above, adding in some extra bits and pieces adding darker sections of grass, I am hopeless in XP mapping XD I'm attempting a different style of mapping for a game created by Shaddowval and I, it's using Celianna's parallax tileset, which Shaddowval created a tileset for, I would quite like some feedback, it's a Professor's house, I'm not quite finished with it yet, but what do you guys think so far?
