I just wanted to make a thread about it, cuz I couldn't find one, and I wanted to give an opinion, and hear other's opinions. I'd say... Best game since Unleashed. Verrry good. Calling it Epic would be and Understatement.

No worries, it appeared to have drifted out of sight for a while now.
Now the game has been released and I have seen it in action on a couple of occasions. It's got some retro-feeling to it, but didn't give me the excitement that I used to get from playing the older Sonic games (on the SEGA Genesis, etc.).

I've been playing this game so far.
It is awesomesauce.
Seriously, what always pissed me off about most 3D sonic games is that they have so many bugs that kill the speed of the game, and so far I haven't encountered that at all with this game. The cutscenes are really well-done and well-animated, too. The addition of wisps as powerups is a pretty neat feature as well.
I actually don't like the side-scrolling sections as much as the full 3D one, mainly because they tend to be short and all they consist of just simple platforming puzzles.
But yeah, this game is awesome. I'd even recommend it over Sonic the Hedgehog 4.

Well...if I have any spare money, this is one game I want to pick up. Strangely, I have never played a 3D Sonic game in my entire life, so this should be interesting. I still need to finish Donkey Kong Country Returns, but I have been keeping my eyes out for this!

You're in for a treat, then. The 3D sonic games have always been somewhat experimental, pretty much all of them having both good and bad points and helping SEGA get it better each time (With a couple rare exceptions, lol Sonic '06). Colors is definitely the most refined experience at present, though; there's a very good reason people have been raving about it.

Ahhh... I've been waiting for this game for a while. IMO this is the game which could make or break sonic for me. Fortunately it looks very good and the gimmick this time, wisps, are much better than a faggy warewolf or a crappy talking sword or whatever. Reviews are saying good things, players are saying good things and Nintendo are saying good things so fingers crossed the fat red man who invades our house every 25th of december is kind enough to leave this little gem under our tree. Cant wait to play this myself. Looks like sonic's finally getting back to his roots after a crap few years of... well... crap to put it frankly.

Man it has been ages since I last came on this site xD. But with the recent (localized) release of RPG maker VX Ace (and thanks to a bit of money I recently came into possession of ^_^) how could I stay away?? :). But its been a good 2 years since I updated my profile (seeing as my about me page said I was 15, when im now 17 years of age). Well anyway glad to be back :). I probably wont be a commonly seen face (or... profile) but I hope to prolong my stay :). And yes my signature is the same as my about me page, mainly due to the fact that im lazy ;D.
I totally forgot there was a DS release of this game, until I recieved it due to a minor miscommunication.
I'm happy to say that it's still quite good (It basically feels like Sonic Rush, with some new powerups, which it's worth saying is good) but in a weird way it's solidifying my growing preference towards the 3D Sonic games and I can't even say how.
