I think I remember hearing about this in another forum a long time ago... Anyways, there isn't a clear cut way to put a rm2k3 on your PSP, as this requires a special method in order to do so; however, there were a group of guys that set out to make a hack that would run rm2k3 games, but I have not heard anything from them since that day.

RM2k3 makes windows .exe games. Seems like it would be difficult to port those over to any other console.

Yeah, although I give those guys that were orginally going to do it credit, but there is no way that it can be done.

Sucks though, I would of purchased a PSP if it had that feature.

There's an interpreter for RM2K/3 games floating around out there called EasyRPG. There are ports of it for a few systems, including DS and PSP, apparently. I haven't tried it myself, because I don't have a hacked PSP or a DS flash cart, so I couldn't tell you how to use it or how well it works.

The project blog is here. It's in Spanish, though.

I have been looking for something like this forever since I am getting a PSP and wanted to know if i could play 2k or 2k3 or even just the games on a PSP. So this EasyRPG is a seperate maker or a program that plays games?

It's hard to tell without using it, but it does seem like it's an interpreter for RM2K/3 games, like SCUMMVM does for Lucas Arts adventure games. Again, I haven't used it myself (and can't use it myself) so I'm not the guy to ask.

It's quite easy getting it to EBOOT files (PSP)

The only problem is the PSP's firmware does not support it, you would have to get CFW (Custom Firmware)
for this to work.

And also EasyRPG, only allows you to play the RM2K3 games. You cannot use the editor I've tried this before.

Sounds pretty interesting.

There's really no point in using the editor on psp anyways, the main focus would be more on just playing the games on a game system itself rather than editing on the psp.

That would be pretty sweet too, "Hey play my RM2k3 game, its on the psp." =D

That settles it getting a PSP. who wouldn't want to play an RM2k3 game on it? I mean hellion's already awesome enough without it.
And i mean you could even port your own so your friends could play them. That's too awesome! RM made games would fit perfect ofr handheld with their pixel graphics handheld's like my favorite system considering its an on the go thing. That'd be cool if someone made an RM game that could be multi-player by connecting to another player's game lol, like DS Download Play.

I think Sony has been noticing files being placed onto psp's, hence the newer versions not working with many files, emulators in particular. That being said, I think if you have a better version, you would need custon firmware.
