This is my first time attempting scripting, I've just started learning ruby 1.9 for about a week and I want to try a script, but I would like a little advice/ insight or help. Here is what I'm trying to do... The character you choose is one of many people in a guild. In certain situations you will have choices to make and those choices will effect the disposition of your fellow guild people, whether for bad or good and that in turn will allow you to either recruit some those people into your party or they could end up as your adversaries.

Here is what I have/ what I'm thinking is right.

I have 7 dispositions... neutral, friendly, close friend, trusted friend/in some cases love interest., rival, enemy, bitter enemy.

Now I know this is a noob question and since I'm a noob to scripting... I'll ask it.
would I have a class named Disposition and those 7 would be instances, or would each of those be a class?

just fyi I'm also using a learning ruby book, and pouring over help files/going through others scripts to get a feel for how they do it.. but
I feel my best chance of learning it is to also do it myself... it helps me stay invested in the process.. so please any help or ideas would be appreciated.

Well, honestly it depends on how you're wanting the script set up and how it's called. It also will depend on the differences that each relationship status holds and what they are actually used for.
