I wanna make a timed hit sytem(ex. mario and luigi rpg,crystal monsters,paper mario) rpgmaker 2003. where if you use the basic attack command and if you press say the enter key you will attack again. Eh its kinda difficult to understand but if you have played a rpg like mario and luigi youll see. I tried it once but I got lost.

You'll need an event that starts a timer for 2 or 3 seconds...
Maybe if you flash a picture on the screen you have maybe about a second to respond.

Then.. when you press the enter key... store the remaining time in a variable.

If the time stored matches the requirement for an extra hit... then do the extra hit. If not, they miss.

The problem with this is that the timer is done in WHOLE SECONDS.. can't get any more precise than that.
