Homing-like animation Options

Hi,

I need a few pointers in how to make a homing-like animation. What I want is an animation that starts in one battler's position and goes toward another battler, just like the image below shows.

I'm using a battle system I'm creating myself, so I'm sort of afraid to use a pre-made script that does this (I don't even know if such script exists).
So if anyone can help me, I'd appreciate it. =)
