Yes people do. They're the ones that observe and follow the forums mandates and rules.

I actually did read the rules but I assumed they were guidelines rather than a direct requirement to clutter up the topic with completely worthless fluff that no-one ever reads. Sorry! It's edited in now though.

Describing your game, creating hype and advertising your efforts in a way that interest people to play isn't "clutter".
Downloading now, I'll drop some crits when I have the chance to play.

Excellent game, the art gave that personal touch i like in most games, and the music choice was beautiful! loved the characters and enemies, as well as the story, pretty fun to play.

I LOVE IT!! this is a masterpeice, fav game so far. Awsome just awsome, its so brutal and gross! Skulls everywhere. Did you happen to play Monster Party growing up? It seems to reflect some of monster party level 1.
10 stars! Best game ever!

Sir I bow to your artistic integrity. I do beleive this is the most beautiful game I have ever played.
I think I am in love, I've played through the entire game 4 times, and when I'm feeling down i turn it on and just leave it playing
in the Phillip's hometown.
it hits a spot in my soul that is beyond words. I am in love.with this masterpeice and sadly a sequel could never do this justice. it is perfect. Its like an old dream long forgotten. I actually understood the hidden coorolations you secretly organized into the scene on the raft floating to the blood cavern. Phillip is back to back with his lesser counterpart, so much social structure and anger in the arrangement. You clearly understand many levels of pain. Love how the captain is a squidfaced man who you shouldn't bother.
Standing next to the teddy bear thing is just creepy. If you stop and think about what your looking at it actually forces harmlessly the boundaries and limitlessness of ones own imagination.
so much depth

bravo, you have my everlasting gratitude

Masterkuro's analysis is really interesting.
I'm also addicted to the song that plays on Phillip's hometown.

This is one that seemed to have escaped a lot of RRR viewers and never garnered much feedback beyond the initial month of the game's existence. To be fair, you almost have to be in the mood to play this game, or you might wind up like me when I first tried it out, which is to say I thought it was garbage, my eyes couldn't really get used to art style, and I quit playing after about 10 minutes in. Only some time later, after having read some of the reviews on RMN, did I decide to give this another go.

First, the game is short enough to play in a near sitting. Casual gamers can probably get through this in about an hour and a half to two hours tops, while the more hardcore gamer who loves to fight every battle, explore every nook and cranny, and visit with every NPC will probably be able to squeeze about two and a half to three hours. In other words, it's short.

As you can tell, the graphics are certainly unique. There's a certain quality to the art that can easily go unappreciated, and it takes a bit of getting used to them. Now, I'm a hardcore gamer, and I still go gaga over NES 8-bit graphics, but even this seemed a tad difficult for me to appreciate. Not that I think the graphics are any worse than what I've seen from the NES era... in fact, I think these are much better. It's that there is just so much going on, every detail, every color, that it's a bit overwhelming to try and take everything in.

However, this game is more about exploration than it is about grinding, which gives plenty of opportunity to adjust to the style. This was actually part of the game's downfall, as noted by others from the RMN site, in that the game is too easy. You can zip through it without a care in the world and have little to no problems with later enemies, to the point that most enemies will die within a few short hits, including the boss enemies.

While I would have liked a more engaging end boss to test my mettle along with some of the skills I picked up along the way, I felt the journey along the way was much more awarding than a final end boss.
