Well, this has phail'd.
I may as well just put this all in simple terms:
  • If he wanted to submit the script, he may as well not encrypt it so everyone can use it. This is the Script Submission forums, not the Encrypted Script Demos That Are Of No Use As Nobody Can Get The Scripts forums.
  • He put a "Quake" formatted map in one of the demo's folders. It didn't run on any VX maps,
  • If he didn't want this script to be seen/used/discussed about, he should keep it on his HDD.


*sigh* If only I were a moderator...

You can not put this into your game, MasterX. It is encrypted.
I have a bit of decrypting knowledge. I might decrypt this and see whether there is a script. I really don't care whether I break any rules. I just want to end this bullsh*t

First and foremost---there isn't a way to get VX to use true 3d, especially a quake 3 .pk3.Now, if he said he was getting Vx to work like doom......but he didn't ,so.......You have to write texure reading info, collision info, map reading info, character movement info, as well as lighting, etc.And you can't "cross" this with Irrlicht.

Second----What he did, was just this.There is an irrlicht project called " Irrwizard"( possibly the easiest way ever of creating a 3d fps game, btw).....he used it, and then "photoshopped" vx stuff over it.

This is an Irrwizard project.Type irrwizard into google.You'll see.

I don't know if you've thought about it but when people post projects in test or WIP, they usually encrypt them to avoid that someone takes the project, remaster it and post it first. Anyways he forgot about this script.

OK, he put a quake formatted map, and what? He said we could put 3-D in our games, not that he wouldn't use another editor to create maps. I espected he to use Blender.

Well he wanted to post it, but he didn't want to allow anyone to see the code untill it was completely finnished.

He said RMVX in 3-D, there isn't a way to edit maps through RPG Maker but he found the way to import them to the game.

And the texture reading info is written in a class of the script. Also it has map reading info, character movement and i don't know what do you mean with collision info, lighting is there also, poor but it's there.

And yes, you're right, it's a shameless copy of Irrwizard, anyways, replace the map file with another one you wan't and it'll still working. It's a Quake 3 maps importer to RMVX, don't expect editing with it.

And i don't like FPS enviroment, i'd rather the Final Fantasy style for RPGs but this is my opinion.

Actually you can put it in your game if you know which methods to call. But i can't help you or i won't be able to keep on this forum. Beside the scripts only load the pk3 map, it's ridicoulous.

If you're gonna decrypt the game, good luck. I'll give you a hint. If you have a script hijacker, type in:
CODE
s = File.open("Scripts.txt", "w")
s.puts($RGSS_SCRIPTS.to_s)


But you need to get a script hijacker and i won't help you in that task. And for those who think i'm a criminal, you must know decryptors are NOT illegal. What's illegal is to steal resources and it's hard to demonstrate, cause even if they steal that resources and they put them in their games, yours wasn't copyrighted so he's just download a game and unpacked it, he didn't sneak into your computer to get the resources.

Anyways, considering the stealing illegal, to make a decryptor isn't illegal. I'll make you see what i see:
To make a knive isn't illegal. What's illegal is to stab someone with a knive.

dusk, I have to say, most of that reply was contradictory to itself

however, I do have to agree with you on the decryption portion, and I would like to know whether or not this is actually a script and it works like it supposedly does. It's highly unlikely... but who knows?

Where is my reply contradictory to itself. I said that people were complaining because the can't edit maps through RPG Maker and i said RTH said 3-D maps in RMVX not 3-D Maps editables with RMVX

Ok, i'm tired of this topic. I can't offer a decrypted version of this game, but i want someone to do it. So i'll use methods to make someone look at the script and stop believing.

Don't believe, just know. And you've tried to know by thinking and expeculating and you've known anything. Decrypt the game and stop believing what someone's say. And if you ask a way to decrpyt it... You'll have it soon.

I believe this topic is getting out of hand, allow me to clear up a thing or two..

decryptors are illegal, as pointed out by RMVX(AND RMXP)'s copyright. tampering with the .RGSSAD(.RGSS2A) files are breaking the copyright.

SECONDLY, this 3D system is not a pure RGSS2 system, but at the same time it is not just another 3D program slapped with the RMVX icons. This is, however, a 3D system used by calling the other .dll's using ruby's win32api feature.

Also, the 'creator' of this script is no longer active on this site. Thus to keep this topic open longer is a hopeless cause because it will just get spammed further. If the 'creator' returns and decides he wants to continue working on this and that he want's the topic open again, then he/she can notify a moderator. Until then, closing ~ enix2
