I have just tried to post the new Official Review, and it disappeared the moment I got past a set character limit..is there actually a post limit? The moment I posted too much...it deleted the entire post, and acted like there was nothing on there? This is also a problem I have experienced when trying to post a summarized review on the main site... however instead it stops me from writing the rest of it, no error message it just acts as if I haven't typed anymore! Any ideas on whats going on?
Thanks

I will get i entry to increase the limit- if there is one- not sure, they deal with the main site.
Thanks Kaz, it seems only I have had that problem Amerk's recent review has been able to post alot more than I can, perhaps it is because I am so new to the Reviewer team, that they haven't been able to catch up yet

Jonnie, have you wrapped the text inside a BBCode? Because there is a 20 000 character limit on the forum but inside a single BBCode. This has caused problems with long scripts in the past, and since it's hardcoded into the BBCode parser, there isn't much to do in order to fix the issue.

No it is nothing to do with the Groups as anyone can post on the main page, so suggest Kread the Wise may have the solution.

Well, after correcting the topic in the review forum, I noticed that he didn't have any BBCode that encompasses the entire post - so I'm thinking this is browser-related (since it is only happening recently, and seems to be the same issue). Though I could be wrong. Anyway, it all looks good for now, just need to figure out the root cause of the issue. Are you submitting the posts through a gaming system, like the Wii or PS3? Or are you submitting them on your computer? (I know that there is a character limit, or was, for one of those systems before - and maybe it needs updating?)

No I have been using my laptop, with Google Chrome ; what I will do is the next time I will use a different browser when I post my Review to the main forum and see what happens, I have the second part of my review to post, on Tuesday, so will use Firefox instead

Give me time to approve it once it is submitted- I try and check every day - just pm when it is done.

If it's recent that may be the reason I've had longer posts before, as I have not posted any reviews since the first part of June. We'll see in the next couple of weeks when I finish my next game.
However, one suggestion I wanted to make to avoid this in the future:
When I do a review, I first type it all up and save it as a word doc, code and all, to serve as a back up if something were to go wrong, but also as a template for future reviews.
Don't worry, already had thank god otherwise I would have had to done the review all over again! I also have a backup of the backup online just in case something goes wrong with my laptop!
Thanks though, I am sure it is just Google Chrome again!
EDIT: Will be posting the review after work in Firefox
until then (It worked thankyou Kaz)
It seems that google chrome was having a funny day yesterday, I am currently using Firefox and it is working...which is good
Thanks for all your help
