The Adventure Of High School Students

Setting :

In an alternate universe, the year 20XX, the Earth isn't separated by countries, but by continents. The planet is in an advanced state known as "The Network Age". With the advancement of science, humans were able to create another dimensional world called "Cyberspace". Everything essential to life is being networked. People can travel through Cyberspace with the use of a device called "PerSoNa", or P.S.N. for short. However, since the internet became so important to daily life, cyber crimes had also increased tremendously. Viruses also evolved to the point that they are able to attack humans while they travel in Cyberspace. To defend themselves, scientists created programs that can be installed into PSN to combat viruses. These programs are called "Battle Discs".

Story :

The main character is going to be me, and I use a portrait of Satoshi Mochida from Corpse Party to represent myself. Multiple characters from MMBN, Persona 4, and other anime will appear as guest characters. Please keep in mind that this was intended to be a fan game from the very beginning.

Thuy Tran is a transfer student from SEAtopia to JAtopia to attend the Internation Yasogami High School. On his first day, he became friends with two JAtopia natives who live in Kashimashi Town and go to the same school. There, he met another transfer student from EUtopia, and his teacher from NAtopia. Being a foreigner, his presence quickly gained attentions from other classmates. After school, he and his friends agreed to hang out on the Net as they have no homework. However, when he arrived on the location, he found his friends and everybody else being attacked by a mysterious figure. Angered, he told the others to contact the Net Police as he challenges the creature to a fight.

What could this creature be ? A virus ? A cyber criminal ? Or is it something else more terrifying that could threaten to destroy the Net Society ?

Character Information

Thuy Tran : An international transfer student from SEAtopia, he moved to Kashimashi Town in JAtopia to attend Yasogami High School. On the first day, he became friends with two native students and another foreign student. He is the main character that you will play as.


Hazumu Osaragi : A JAtopia native student in Kashimashi Town who also attends Yasogami High. She is a soft-hearted and charming girl who loves nature, as she has a huge garden around her hosue. She is the first person to become friend with Thuy.


Ayuki Mari : Another JAtopia native in Kashimashi Town who goes to Yasogami High. She is known as one of the best students in science class, with her knowledge even surpasses a few teachers. She is also Hazumu 's close friend.


Stephanie Pride : Also an international transfer student from EUtopia to Kashimashi Town to attend Yasogami High. She has the beauty of a princess and a kind personality.


Naoto Shirogane : An ACE detective of JAtopia.


Chaud Blaze : An international police officer from NAtopia.


Teddie : Unknown.

Progress

The game is still in development at the moment. I am still trying to collect feedback and promoting the game. I estimate the game to be only 10% completed.

Known Issues

I am still looking for grammar errors in dialogues. There aren't any mapping glitches or gameplay bugs that I am aware of, but if you find any, I 'll be glad to fix them.

This is also my first game with RPG Maker, so I put a lot of efforts into it.

As someone who has never played Persona, only watched some of the anime you pull from, and can't stand the Random Encounter Rate of the Megaman Network series, I am slightly interested. I saw some funny lines in those screen shots, and some other clever stuff very similar to what I would do in a parody. I'll download.

Now for the font... I don't think I would change it, mainly because I see nothing wrong with it. I think it looks fine, and no one else has complained about it.

N-... Nobody likes loading screens, or saving screens. The only reason why official games have it is because they usually have a lot more memory for games like this and the images that go with it are just so that the player still has something interesting to look at. As saving is usually instantaneous with RPG Maker, there is absolutely no need to have a saving bar. One thing you need to learn as a designer is that you don't want to waste the player's time.

THAT is why it terrifies me.

Yeah, I know. But I kinda like those saving/loading bars. I think they look nice and cool. I really want to keep them, and it makes the game slightly different from the others.

The screen would only last for 2 seconds, or I could change it to 1 if necessary.

That's the problem. While your game is kind of a hodgepodge of anime/Megaman Battle Network stuff, doesn't mean every visual aspect has to be a hodgepodge. :|

Perhaps you could try to look for something that is a bit more high-tech? Anything that looks futuristic and metallic might work with the cyberspace theme you are going for.

I never really got the point of the fake loading bars and stuff.. I mean Moghunter did make a image gallery script if you wanted to put random anime pictures xD

I have searched for and tried all the window skins I could find out there. Sadly, none of them caught my interests or looked good enough for me to use. I tried those futuristic skins on this site as well, and they didn't look so well.

Well, I guess the only choice I have is to go back to the first one, which I don't really like as much as the new one. Decision... decision... decision...

this is looking cool though. i'll try it out in a bit!
