[i]Abstract: When looking to your past, you should always understand that some things buried should be left there, and some things unknown should remain unknown
Genre: Fantasy Future, Sci-Fi
Engine: RMXP

Story
Varael is a world of many secrets, long past civilzations with untold epics of history. Del Mener considers himself a historian, others simply consider him to be a troublesome treasure hunter with a penchant for being a bit of a daredevil. As his antics continue, causing some to ally to his hobbies, and others to condemn him, the morality of what he gains becomes a conflict between taboos, superstitions, and knowledges untold.

Setting
The world of Varael has suffered not one, not two but five ancient cataclysms, with the world being 'reborn' each time. What many dispute is where those worlds ends and how, but, with so many ruins abounding, it often becomes trobuelsome at the least to determine what is past, and what is present, and even more puzzling is a rogue belief that the world's timeline is not linear as one may think but actually, an infinite mobius loop, and that by digging far into the past, you may unravel the future...

Sarene Narame
Age: 16 Gender: Female Personality: Adventurous, Mischevious

Devraan
Age: 2 Gender: Synthetic Male Personality: Stoic, Loyal, Analytical
Biography: A product of Valkrie Mechanics Institute, and in service of Justice Narame, Devraan and his 8 counterparts are the eyes and ears of the Justice, but due to a glitch in his programming with an order given years earlier, his loyalties lie not with the Justice, but with the Justice' daughter Sarene, and despite his best efforts, he can not find anyway to dissuade Sarene from her path.

Justice Narame
Age: 41 Gender: Male Personality: Strict, Lawful, and Fair
Biography: (NPC) Justice Narame is the head regent of Gharain Province, one of seven branches of the Imperium Varisti, and as such, is literally the judge, jury, and executioner of the deeds of the province. While he would love nothing more than to put Del mener in chains for 'corrupting his daughter', he can not by legal focus do anything to stop him. He waits patiently for the day that he 'screws up!'

I like the cataclysm idea, it's similar to one in a book I read and I loved that. The story looks interesting, but it's hard to imagine a 17 year old as a treasure hunter, but to each his own.

I'd also be interested in hearing more about the talisman idea, since FF7 is probably my fave rpg so far. As for the screen shots, the world map looked awesome but the other one looked a bit weird, I would have to see more to judge the tileset better.

Still, an interesting idea happy.gif .
