Lately I've been playing a lot of Dead Rising 2, but it's got me yearning for something more serious. This is most likely because a survival horror game hasn't scared me in probably 5 years or so. I was thinking Resident Evil 2 is probably my favorite zombie game, especially given the time it was released. Especially with October here, what's everyone else's favorite zombie games?

Left 4 Dead 1 and 2. Damn fun. I can only play the non-scary games because otherwise, it would be a waste of money to buy a scary game that I wont play.
I got the Dead Rising 2 case zero which was pretty good, might consider getting the full game some time.
If you liked Case Zero, you will love the full game. The acting can get a little cheezy, but the game is GREAT. The L4D games aren't bad, but mostly when I think of zombies, ghosts, shadows, etc., I want it to be a scary game. The Dead Rising series works because it isn't explicitly meant to be scary and has a well kept sense of humor, but I really, REALLY want another scary zombie game. Resident Evil just ain't cutting it anymore nowadays.

I can't honestly say I ever throught the Resident Evil games were scary. Doing something sudden to make a person jump isn't making them scared, it's just exploiting a person's natural reaction to flinch away from things that happen suddenly.
Anyway, my favorite zombie game would probably have to be Left 4 Dead 2, simply because no other game I can think of has created the sense of dread and helplessness one would feel when faced with a bloodthirsty, rampaging horde of zeds. When you're blasting wave after wave of the undead in the face with a shotgun, you really feel like a badass even though you know you're going to die.
Also, I've been playing a lot of Dead Rising 2 recently. There's never that same feeling of panic, even with the Ticking Clock counting down, but holy shit is it fun to wade into a crowd of 50 or so zombies dressed only in your heart-print and boxing gloves with bowie knives taped to them and walk out covered in blood and brain.

Left 4 Dead 2 most likely. I've never felt as sad for the zombs as I do in L4D2. It's the first game I've played where they've managed to capture the essence of the zombies. Their lost humanity.
Other than that I also really enjoyed Zomband and Zafehouse.
ugh..what's that game called? Okay, it was a shooter and in the arcade, and you'd shoot zombies. It's not house of the dead(I don't think) meh, whatever the name was. It was a bloody good time.

My favorites were Resident Evils Zero, One, Two, Code Veronica, and Four. Four was only because it had a new take to the gameplay, but the story was iffy. The rest, I just loved them.
I like Left 4 Dead one and two, both games are pretty fun but get boring after awhile.. you can only play the levels so many times before you can just run through them with no problem haha. My overall "scary" game (even though there aren't any zombies in it) is F.E.A.R. I borrowed that game from a friend and it took me 3 months to beat 'cause the entire time I was playing it, I could hear my heart beating like it was about to explode. If there was a long dark hallway I would usually save the game and quit playing for awhile 'cause there was always a chance of something freaky happening. F.E.A.R. 2 was more of a shooter then a scary game, but I hope F.E.A.R. 3 brings back that scary element.
I went to Gameworks with a few friends for one of their birthday parties back when I was like ten. We played House of the Dead and nothing else. Ended up beating the first one and almost beating the second one before we ran out of money.
Yep I went old-school there, because even though games like the Resident Evil series blow it out of the water in terms of graphics and what not, I just find Zombies Ate My Neighbors to be an all in all fun game to play to this day even over the graphically superior games.
In a close second place:
Plants Vs Zombies
Yet another extremely fun game.

Well, survival horror games such as Resident Evil is what I call zombie games. My favourite zombie games eh? I'd say Resident Evil 2 (1998) and Left for Dead 1! My Steam account was reeeally hot some months ago. Proud to have a few achievements such as "kill a hunter while in air by headshot" (WTF?) unlocked!

I don't play too many zombie games, but I did remember playing (and enjoying) Resident Evil 2 back in the days.
I want to try out Plants VS. Zombies someday when I have some time.
You too huh? Aah, the memories! I used to gather friends in my home some years ago, order pizza or souvlaki and play RES2 in the dark. Pretty scary back then. Remember? It still gives me creeps! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v7JECkVzuq0 Plants VS. Zombies is a funny game, but a bit boring after some hours of play...Anyway you really should check it out!

My favorite is the Dead Rising series. I remember my friend showed it to me after it first came out and he was playing on Survival Mode and messing around so I thought it was gonna be mostly a comedy game. I saw it for sale for like 15 bucks at a closing Hollywood Video near my house and decided to get it. The plot was freakin' intense. It wasn't much of a scary game but it was fun as hell. I have Case 0 and Dead Rising 2. DR2's probably my favorite. I had a lot of fun playing it on my live stream and making jokes with my viewers. I keep checking the Xbox Live Marketplace every day for Case West. G4 said it was gonna come out on Halloween but didn't cite any sources. And someone told me it was out on the 30th but I didn't see it.

The Devil is often a great card for business success; hard work and ambition.Perhaps the most misunderstood of all the major arcana, the Devil is not really "Satan" at all, but Pan the half-goat nature god and/or Dionysius. These are gods of pleasure and abandon, of wild behavior and unbridled desires. This is a card about ambitions; it is also synonymous with temptation and addiction. On the flip side, however, the card can be a warning to someone who is too restrained, someone who never allows themselves to get passionate or messy or wild - or ambitious. This, too, is a form of enslavement. As a person, the Devil can stand for a man of money or erotic power, aggressive, controlling, or just persuasive. This is not to say a bad man, but certainly a powerful man who is hard to resist. The important thing is to remember that any chain is freely worn. In most cases, you are enslaved only because you allow it.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, regardless of who agrees with it. You shouldn't be flamed. =]
Dare to Flame me! I don't like ANY zombie games! >=[ (Too boring for me to play, but I think it's hysterical to watch others play them - I don't see the entertainment, I guess.)
*flames the crap out of X-M-O* Nah, you know I wouldn't do that to you. xD Some are fun for me(Resident Evil and Dead Rising), but it's like anything else. There are some you will like or some you won't, or entire genres you won't(I don't really like sports games). People appear to like watching me play zombies games though. My friend and I did a Resident Evil 5 + DLC playthrough that got a fair amount of views and my most-viewed live stream broadcast was me playing Dead Rising 2. Some good times with that one. xD
