Hello, I'm used RMVX to make my own game in my spare time. But I get confsed about the naming. confused.gif
You know, in the beginning of the game we can give the actor a name. But I don't know how to make it automatically change in conversation that mention the actor's name.
For example, I give a default name for the main Actor as Garu. Then of course in the conversation in the game I will write Gau to mention this person name. But if the player(who play this game) wanted to change the Actor name to be Haru, the name Garu in the conversation will not change right?

Another problem is the label name( the name of the actor that appear above or beside the actor picture in the conversation). I'm still confused to add it (the only solution that I know is only edit the actor picture/face by giving a name on the actor face).

I will be very thankful if someone can help me for this problem.

I think that this works in RMVX as well as RMXP, someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you can use \n[ACTOR_ID] to insert the name of the actor with the id of ACTOR_ID.

Variables. In the message box you will need \N[x]. Change x to the number of the party member speaking. I'm sure there are more but here is a list of the most common message variables:



\c[x] Alter color of text where x = a numerical value of the color
\N[x] Displays the party member's name, where x is the number of the party member.
\G Opens additional text box displaying the money the party has got. Not yet tested.
\| 1 second wait in text
\. .25 (1/4) second wait in text
\! Displays following text after pressing enter.
\^ Message automatically closed and moves to next message (if applicable).
